Hello! I've been trying to do a system where certain songs are above others, colored differently, etc. I've looked on the forum and nothing has worked for me. (and can anyone find a ddr sn2 theme that i can also use?)

What I did is, in the 'TITLETRANSLIT' section of both the .sm and .ssc files, i would assign a code (01, 02, a01, etc.) so that the songs would be sorted in a different order (in their group folder). Naturally, this would affect where the song would be sorted in ABC order. As for the songs being a different color, I haven't found that out yet. Perhaps there is no way to do so.

As of now a Supernova 2 theme does not exist for SM5.
To reorder and recolor songs, put a text document in the group folder called group.ini. In this file, you'll want to add a tag called #SortList_Front or #SortList_Reat, then put the song folder names in the order that you want them to appear in, with colons after each folder name. Songs under #SortList_Front will appear before songs under #SortList_Rear, but I don't think that actually makes much of a difference. For example:
To recolor the song titles, you'll want to use the #MENUCOLOR tag. #MENUCOLOR takes RGB values, as decimals between 0 and 1, as well as a fourth value which I've always seen as 1 and don't know what it means. If I wanted to color everything but VD blue and then color VD red, I'd put in something like this below the #SortList stuff. Like so:
Hope this helps!

Fourth value is the alpha or transparency value. 1 means no transparency. 0 means invisible.
@silver spirit does it really work with sm5? I can't get it working.

Ah, dammit, knew I was forgetting something. This only works on certain themes; as of right now the waiei, CyberiaStyle 8 and D3NEX themes support group.ini files but others do not.
EDIT: i was confusing this with something else, CS8 does NOT support group files

Will this work on SM3.9 also? I'm just curious.

group.ini files will not work with 3.9. You would need to use SoulEdge's method of just messing with the TITLETRANSLIT of songs.

Thanks guys! You're lifesavers. I'll get back with whether they work or not.
EDIT: Er, decimals for colors??? Thats a bit odd.
EDIT: NEVERMIND! I got it.

Yes it does. Or rather, it supports sort and custom extra stages, but not colour.
