I'd like to join this.
A few questions:
Should we delete the regular difficulties in the file?
What is the maximum difficulty? Is the minimum still 15?
Can we do things like crossover special, gallop special?

Yes. You should delete the regular difficulties. While there is no minimum or maximum foot rating there will still be a mode set for each edit. This means if I tell you to take a song from X2 and edit it's chart, you should delete the other difficulties. If it is a "free" round where you can edit any song on any difficulty and I tell you to edit on you should make only a chart if you are making it from scratch. The mode you have to edit on will be Round specific otherwise it's any mode and any foot rating. So to sum it all up, the simfile you upload must have ONLY the difficulty you edited.

I forgot to ask a question. Will this be DDR-styled only? (meaning no hands/quads and/or single mines)

Yes. Just don't add anything to the stepchart that wouldn't be seen in an official/pad chart.

I'm interested in this, but I have one question. Are we making at minimum one custom chart per round, or a few various charts for the whole tournament?

One custom chart per round. There will only be 10 simfiles selected from this contest that will be used in the tournament because there will only be 10 rounds for this contest and only one simfile can win per round.

Just to be clear, the sign up period ends the day the contest starts. Sign ups end on the 16th which is the day round 1 will be posted.

Append: Also, to be clear on another thing, since there is no elimination you don't have to worry if you don't get a submission in on time. You will still be in contest, however your simfile will not qualify for voting.
Append: Round 1 posted. Sorry for late start.

Android, do these have to follow the SN2 "Special" categories or can we create our own special categories? (Like Xepher (Doublestep Special) or Be in my Paradise (Super Slow Special), to name a couple of fictional examples)
APPEND:
- 16 (X-Scale)
I'm doing DDR Edits for every round because I'm too lazy to cut/sync/make graphics for songs at the moment.

They don't have to follow only those special types nor do you have to use only one special type per simfile. If you want to make a "Double step", "Super Slow" special or any other kind go ahead.
Append: Just to be clear the edit/submission period ends on the 24th. The 25th will begin the voting period and that will end the next day. This totals 8 days, however, THIS IS ONLY FOR THE FIRST ROUND because I started late and am giving and extra day. the next rounds will total 7 days. 6 for editing and submitting and 1 for voting, as stated in the rules.
Append: Please upload simfiles as follows: [Round 1] London EVOLVED Ver. A (Android Special). I stated this in the rules but I'm sure those of you who submitted files already just forgot so It's no big deal but to avoid confusion, please state which round it is being submitted for.
