Well I'm basically taking the time to go through FF5 Advance at this point. I've played through the original many times but I've never taken the time to go through the Advance version. I wasn't too thrilled at the loss of quality for the sound and there were certain aspects of the game (namely slowdown) that really took the fun out of it. When I'm killing the game by casting Meteor...there's a problem.
Then I came across this.
This patch essentially restores the game to SNES quality for sound with a few improvements / stylistic choices (i.e. orchestra intro music for the intro, Lenna/Reina's theme got redone, for instance). The game is pretty much lagless now though any that I've seen thus far are minor and don't detract from the game itself.
Still looks pretty good to me too...so I'm going to be searching through the whole thing at this point in prep for finally finishing up FF5: FJF this year, for once...still got 'til June.
