I support this100%!!!!
There's been an update on the petition; it appears that Konami is asking the question on what console should beatmaniaIIDX® 17 SIRIUS CS be on if they were to make it---> Playstation®2 or Playstation®3?
I'm guessing that there's a possibility that Sony just may be taking more PS2 games since such a question was asked. I'd say go for a PS2 release since we already have controllers and the less expensive PS2 console. It would save Konami money in the long run and give them enough time to work on the future releases in case Sony stops accepting the PS2 game line. So basically, I would like the series to continue on PS2 until it has no choice but to move to PS3! I'm pretty certain that PS2 could handle it.

Wow, they actually responded. I'd say PS2 as it's less work for them having to remake the graphics in high resolution, plus it puts off people buying new controllers for another style.

i think someone already mention this but i think it should stay on ps2 format cause if they release it on ps3 then konami would prolly put dlc for the game(i.e. themes, song packs, etc...) and people would just play it at home instead of going to the arcade. i mean a ACS version of sirius would be pretty cool for us but not for konami. lol

I want it on PS3. PS2 games don't upscale that well on my TV. Also PS3 is region free for the most part. I also dont want to be doing a petition for Resort Anthem in the future.

The GF&DM CS games were unfortunately discontinued after V3. It's sad, but it had a good run.

IIDX 17th on PS2.
18th style maybe started on PS3.
Oh, don't forget for V4 until V7 + XG (Better V4 until V7 on XG CS title ) and X2 JP CS.
Those titles better on PS2 for last collections.

It should go on the Ps3, it's region free, and it'd be a good occasion to get a net controller, 'cause my old ones are starting to have sticky buttons or a non-fonctionning turntable...

That and if it was on the PS3 it wouldn't have any region locking (good for us, bad for them). The PS2 seems to be the only system that can be called home for IIDX.Though it would be neat to see IIDX17 Sirius in true HD.

That can wait, as we also want true laglessness, besides, using component cables on your CRT TV is the closest thing to "IIDX in HD" (if your TV has the inputs). Technically, that is HD for CRTs, and it looks so good that many people mistake the game for a PS3 title. PS2 is NO DOUBT GET LOUD the BEST choice for now until the hardware could no longer support whatever new implementation Konami decides to add to the future games.I'd say it would be wise to continue releasing the games on PS2 while they simultaneously work on moving the series to the PS3 when all bugs and problems are fixed enough for a solid release...by then maybe Sony will be finished with the PS2. We have to also consider that KoJ is still concentrating on AC, so let's not make things too hard on them...we are very fortunate to even get to this point!
beatmaniaIIDX series is the most superior of all music games in my opinion, and THE BEAT MUST GO ON in the arcades and at home!
