@SupremeX: A lot of the songs in DDR II that have the characters doing choreographed moves are pretty much randomized and/or recycled on a ton of songs, nothing really note-worthy about that.
If I am corrected so be it but I think in spite of HP2 having mostly junky steps, the choreography is original to each track? I've watched enough "Racing With Time" videos and they all have the same "dancer moves".

Basically how the choreography works in DDR II is that they borrow the moves from HP2 and HP3, cuts down the choreography into snippets to be randomized and then....randomize them, although from my experience I HAVE noticed that HEARTBREAK (Sound Selektaz remix) does seem to have a common "randomize" choreography to pull up about a majority of the time I've played that song. Although maybe it's just me and others may have gotten more randomized dances whenever they play it.

@CuzcoBlocko. No I don't own that machine. That place replaced that old DDRMAX2 with SuperNOVA2. That video is from 4 or 5 years ago.
I've watched your remakes of MAX-MAX2 era BGvideos and I was impressed!!
That analysis of the BGvideos is really interesting.

This is doing at least 218 movies a favor. (Although it might actually wipe out some of the EXTREME ones)

Who cares? The Extreme ones were all pretty much generic anyway. It's fine when dealing with Extreme itself, as it was a limitation of the time and videos were cut to save space and unique videos were reserved for new songs, but when talking about rebuilding something in Stepmania I would always go for the unique content. I have a 2 TB HDD in my PC. Extreme didn't have that luxury lol
But yeah, played 7th Mix on PS2 today and I had completely forgotten just how many of those videos had more... personality, so to speak, than in Extreme. Even the "generic" ones shared between multiple songs were just so much more alive. And I finally AAA'd Matsuri Japan Oni. So yay me.

It's a video of spheres with pixels mapped onto them. Sounds lazy and low-tech, right? But something about it looks so appealing...
It's similar videos also attract me;
(Star2, Heart1, Fire1, and Stairs1 are outdated and I don't consider them in the category anymore)
These are js****/3Dtextura videos. These can be quickly thrown together with a 2D program and Blender (I have trouble making them, though, because I want the videos to be as accurate as possible, and it's hard to do it exactly like the originals).
1/3rd of these movies didn't make it to EXTREME. Complete with 3 background mascots out of the 9 DDRMAX2 licenses on EXTREME being cut.
Me, 2010: Sorry, what? You're claiming LIVING IN AMERICA, just like FANTASY, IT'S RAINING MEN, MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, and THERE YOU'LL BE has a random movie in it's background? ...no.... I'm sorry, but I've been playing Extreme for 2 years and not once have I seen a movie looking like that.
(reveal DDRMAX2)
Me, 2011: What?! I didn't know this movie exists! And look at this one! And this one! Ooh, I really like this one. DDRMAX2 is cool. I've never heard this awesome song before! Neither did I hear this one! And what's up with this one?
(Shortly after, I got hooked on Scooch and all 18 of their songs, and all 83 of the 3DTextura movies. That is the story of how I got into DDRMAX2 in spades and why it's my favorite mix ever.)
Oh, and I have a 2 TB HDD in my computer too. My computer back in 2008-2011 was never as flexible. We should do that idea sometime.

Kylie Minogue has at least 3 songs that I can think of in DDR (counting Love At First Sight's remix as a separate song).

She has four that I can think of on the top of my head: Love at First Sight, Love at First Sight (Remix), Can't Get You Out of My Head and Come Into My World.
...However, Kylie Minogue is a popular musician who really has no involvement in the DDR series besides having a few licensed songs. I don't really think random facts about her are appropriate for this thread.

She has 6 songs in the DDR/DS library, two of them are remixes.
There's Can't Get You Out Of My Head [DS PARTY EDITiON], Love At First Sight [DDRMAX2 US CS/DS MegaMix], Come Into My World [DS Fusion], Promises [DS Fusion], Love At First Sight (Twin Masterplan Mix) [SuperNOVA through X], and Slow (Chemical Brothers Remix) [UNIVERSE US].

Yeah Slow as the other one I know about and I was fairly certain she had several in Dancing Stage games but I've never played them. I kinda feel like Hedgehog was jumped on for no reason here. We have seen plenty of less relevant things posted in the past 100 pages of this thread.

I think people are giving him shit mainly for the fact that he bumped the thread for no real reason. Yeah, Kylie has had several songs in DDR/DS, but seeing as how they're licenses [mainly from obscure CS titles], they don't necessarily apply to this thread.
But what do I know? lol

Does anyone have concrete evidence that Julie Ann Frost is in fact Julie Frost? I don't have any evidence they're one and the same and in fact have 2 pieces of evidence that cast doubt. First is that Julie has no writing credit on Balalaika (and as far as I can tell, the Julie Frost of songwriting has no singing credits), and the other is that all mentions of Julie Frost as a songwriter don't have any indication that that is not her full name.
Still, if someone has the evidence, there's some more cool stuff that will be true: Frost also was a writer for Just Can't Get Enough by The Black Eyed Peas (apparently, she was responsible for the chorus) and Primadonna.

I can't find any concrete evidence, but every song where Ann Frost was involved (BALALAIKA, CARRIED WITH THE WIND and Mr.Moon), and where Frost was involved (Share My Love, Groove, Groove 2001, Remember You), were removed from DDR/GF/DM/pop'n around the same time, which could be the only link (most Japanese sites assume that both Julies are the same person).
Izumi mentioned that Ann Frost is blonde, and that's the only info that I could get

Whether Julie Frost the DDR vocalist and Julie Ann Frost the DDR vocalist are the same isn't what I was questioning; rather, whether Julie (Ann) Frost the DDR vocalist and Julie Frost the songwriter are the same, as Oni posted as trivia.

There's this Julie Frost on Discogs that has written for the likes of Madonna and such top artists. I really doubt that's our Julie.

well I thought that it might have been relevant, so I'm sorry.
There is something else that has been bugging me ever since I got my iPod and I want to put it to rest and may be might be relevant here.
In DXY! I hear a voice, I forget what is said (something like "doing Dub Step guys"), the voice sounds like Vin Diesel, although I highly doubt that it is Vin Diesel, but I just want to put this to rest. Then there will be no more from me.
