There were very good songs that were difficult, and they didn't have to be harder than level 10, like DROP OUT, Fascionation, Max... They were from level 8 to 10... But from DDR to newest, songs were classified with level 8 to 19, and I don't think they were too difficult, with some exceptions like Anti-matter or valkyrie dimension, but also I think level 11 and more is like exaggerated, if you take in count Fascination MaxX, for example, level 10 was the highest number, and I think this song is harder than Anti-matter or valkyrie dimension... But anyway, what do you think?

There was a scale change from 1-10 to 1-20 in DDR X. Difficulties were changed for pre-X songs to adapt to this, and Fascination MaxX became a level 17 on and 18 on . I'm not quite sure what you're saying. Is it that Level 15s and up on DDR X and later aren't as difficult as level 10s on older versions?

Yes I think some songs in level 15 and up are not that difficult, and I always compare them with Fascination -elm-, I think, for example, ZETA is not harder than Fascination...

Well, remember that the Fascination songs were flashing 10s, which meant they are harder than the average 10. In other words, they are at least on par with DDR X 17s, not 15s. (Though as an aside, Zeta does straddle the line between 14 and 15. It's my favorite boss, though.)

I think that some songs from before DDRMAX were underrated. Drop Out was originally an 8 in Solo, and DROP THE BOMB seems a bit hard for a 6. So does Brilliant 2U on .

The reason the scale was expanded was because Max 300 was not on the same level as Fascination MaxX. It was on a level far beyond Max 300. I believe they attempted to fix this by making the stuff in SuperNOVA 2 underated (most of the 9s for boss songs were much harder than most 10s). It also well defined difficulty levels so that you didn't have "easy 9" and "hard 9". Now you most songs in a solid category. Granted some of the ratings seem a bit off, but overall the scale is much better at defining how hard a song is, where as before, when you saw a "10", you couldn't possibly know if it was Max 300 10 or PSMO 10 which are significantly different.
