I'd really wish there was a type of note included in charts for the jubeat series where a certain number appears on buttons and you have to hit them at the same place until the numbers on them go down to 0 and you move on.

Just like in pop'n rhythmin? I'd also like to see hold notes in jubeat.

I did not know they had those type of notes in pop'n rhythmin.

Anyway, since pop n' music abandoned the idea for custom backgrounds for each character starting with Lapistoria, an option of choosing gameplay backgrounds/interfaces would be nice like they did in DDR and IIDX.

I want to make custom charts for REFLEC BEAT.
I don't play simulators. Only the real official games.

Believe me, so do I, but REFLEC BEAT lab isn't a thing, yet. :C

I don't know, I was pretty doubtful any BEMANI would receive any pop besides jpop from now on but recently two cpop songs were added to DanceEvolution. Anything's possible I guess (if they can afford it). lol

They've done this before, see TUNE STREET.

For DDR: HD updates to all previous AC themes, purchasable through in-game currency (like Dance Points like they did in all the games from Strike onwards for the consoles. I'd love to see MAX-EXTREME get an HD update. Maybe also allow people to buy other Announcers, considering with Konami's tradition of every 5 mixes they get a new Announcer for the game.

All other games: Don't know, haven't played any other BEMANI games long enough to say.
*insert crap bemani joke here*

There was a song from K-Pop group Super Junoir in one of the REFLEC BEAT games but it was in Japanese. Probably the closest we'll get to K-pop for now.

Bring back Expert Courses for IIDX and courses in general for DDR.
I'd also like to see long version songs make a comeback in DDR, similar to how they are in Gitadora right now.

There's a feature with the newer Pop'n Music games that shows how fast the notes scroll when you are picking speed mods. I wish IIDX and DDR would do that. It would help out so much in a game like DDR because it would kill failing a song at the start only because you miscalculated the speed.

I wish the Quest Mode found in the DDR UM/UNI series made its way onto a PS2 title. I had a good lot of fun with UM4's Quest Mode and UM3's was fun as well. Would've been cool to have had that instead of Dice Master Mode...

Well, I don't really see that being useful in IIDX since there's the green number, but it would definitely be a nice thing to have in DDR.

If they make any more CS DDR games, I'd love for there to be legit DLC. Like, how DDR S+ did it.

As AnonyWolf said, include the Quest Mode again. UNIVERSE 3 is the last one to have a quest mode, and it's wonderful. I'm also partial to EXTREME's mission mode. Include that again. And let us use the EXTREME-style mission mode to unlock songs. You wanna unlock Heron? Well you'll have to play through the second half of the oni chart and get OK on all shock arrows first, and then it'll be in your song list. Or, you know, play 60 songs. That works, too.

Ooh. Groove radar, too.

EDIT: To clarify, when I said "legit DLC," I meant that in DDR UNIVERSE 1 & 2, the DLC songs were already on the disc, and all you'd have to do is pay money to unlock them. Whereas with UNIVERSE 3 / DDR S+ / DDR PS3 / ULTRAMIX (I believe), the songs weren't already on the disc and you're legitimately downloading them.

That would definitely be a nifty, useful feature to have.

One thing I would add in DDR are Special Difficulty charts/Special Mode. Here's what I mean:

Overall, this whole concept works as a mix/revival of STEP BATTLE from 2ndMIX and Freestyle Mode from ULTRAMIX3. "Special Charts" would be available for every song in the game. These charts would have a few measures with specific arrow placements, but the majority of the chart will be blank to allow you to create your own steps on the fly. Just like in the original Freestyle mode in ULTRAMIX3, you will get graded on your creation, but these aren't saved like the ratings you get on the regular step charts and they don't affect any possible unlocking requirements. Despite that, these charts would have a significance. That significance leads to...

...Special Mode. After you finish a song on Special Difficulty, you have the option to save your chart on the game and/or share them through the e-Amusement network (let's just assume that the game would allow this to be either a Local or e-Amuse feature), and other players can access this mode and play these charts. Records would be saved in this mode, tracking everyone who has passed a players' chart and how well they did. Through e-Amuse only, you can issue Special Challenges to specific players. In a Special Challenge, the player who initiates the challenge sends another player their chart and can set a goal for the challenger to complete. Goals include getting a full combo, reaching a certain grade (Grades B through AAA only apply), and even reaching a certain amount of a specific judgement (i.e. Get at least 200 Perfect steps).

Special Charts and Special Mode would also be available for Versus and Double play. In Versus Mode however, if one player highlights the Special Difficulty, the other player is forced to be on that difficulty as well. This is because Special Charts in Versus Mode are made to have both players take turns in freestyling in specific sections. Special Challenges can even be sent through this and Double Mode as well.

^ Ooooooooh yes, that reminds me that I wanted something for DDR PS3 back in the day to make it possible to share edits over PSN/XBOX Live. Unfortunately, they didn't even put an Edit Mode in the game...

A chart design contest for certain games DDR/IIDX/pop'n/GITADORA would be greate, especially since more crossovers are bound to happen within BEMANI.
