Konami @ E3 2011

Konami to make a "Pre-E3" event around select cities across America, also will be streamed online.

Konami will be creating a "Pre-E3" showcase for journalists, the press, and KONAMI fans as select cities across America will be the first to see exclusive trailers, never-before-seen demos, and tons of KONAMI swag. The events will also be streamed live through the internet so if you can't come to any one of the pre-E3 events, you can see them happen live! (link not available yet).

On June 2nd, select cities to be included are as follows: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, São Paulo and Mexico City.

So, what's your take on this? Clearly the games to be showcased at this event would be Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the new Silent Hill, but we may be seeing a trailer or demos of the 2011 DDR game(s), a new Castlevania, Dance Masters 2(?), and a new BEMANI game? lol unlikely but, we can only hope on June 2nd!

I got beat to an E3 page for once!? Anyway wonder if DDR 2011 will stick to be like 2010 or will change the game up after all the reviews.

(we can't use X2 as a name...) You have seen our new DDRu for the Pureisuteeshon suri, Wii, and the Ekkusu Bokkusu 360 well now here is the new game! With a new look and design we have added new features that old prayers and new prayers arike will come to love. One "new" feature is "Daburu Purai!" Are you a master at Pokemon? DDRu? Try Daburu purai to show how good you are. In this game mode, you use TWO dansu mats at the same time! That'su right, you have eight arrows to hit! A new feature is the abirity to make your own dansu steps! If you thought our steps were boring you can make your own and EMPRESS your friends! If you want more we have introduced the new feature of sending those steps to the new DDRu X2 arcade game to show everyone around the world! You use any memory card USB furashu duraivu to save the steps in the game then take it to the arcade! It's that simple.

It's confirmed. DDR 2010 is A REBOOT of the game series. Then the sequel, while introducing numerous additions is STILL part of the old timeline.

Is this a time paradox?

But wouldn't it be horrible if they took it a step back and removed other things like mods all together?

I would like to see less american licenses, more Konami Originals (Though I sense Konami is not the least bit concerned with our opinions of that), or bring back some old KOs from previous mixes.

And dare I jump the gun and even mention...DLC? If it becomes anything like the previous mix, i'm getting my hopes up.

Try Daburu purai to show how good you are. I have no idea what that means. I like how X2 was in that paragraph though. It means we will be getting some songs from X2 AC if were lucky.

I just want European exclusive licences again. Although the one shred of originality we had from the US versions is gone, so we won't.

this, my favourite songs on CS Releases are usually down to european licenses. All i'd ask for is this:

1) GOOD licenses with decent charts (YOU HAVE CHALLENGE MODE AVAILABLE USE THE DAMN THING INSTEAD OF FOR A GIMMICK and just keep expert for your generic easier difficulty)
2) A good bundle of konami originals again with good steps, its not hard to make steps interesting guys you've had over 10 years to practice this, at least DDR 2010 had a good list of revivals
3) A Theme that doesnt look like it was thrown together in about 2 minutes.
4) The ability to turn the announcer off, whether he's annoying or not I DONT WANT ONE ON MY CS RELEASES.
5) Get rid of that stupid chain/groove chain/blatant guitar hero star power knock off.
6) An unlock method that isnt stupidly slow and involving grinding playing songs you dont like, how about play 3 songs and 5 songs to unlock stuff like back in the old days and have your obligatory "Awful new gimmick mode" as the alternative faster way of unlocking. Or just give us a good mission mode like back on DS Fusion/DSMax.
7) Edit mode. No excuses for binning this. EVER.

Ok so there was a fair bit to rant about there but you get the picture, any new DDR CS Release im only going to buy if it starts to claw back these points for me, i didnt buy ANY of the last generation of DDR games (I'd say DS games but lets face it they are impossible to get now unless you order online.)

Also annoyed that DRD2010 coming out put the Universe series, and with it an ACTUAL 360 release, to bed over here. Typical, everyone raves about how Uni3 is actually really good, and it doesn't even bloody come out here.

This. I actually enjoyed Universe 3 so much that I spent a day playing it wired up to my DDR cab just because i was convinced the files were so good i'd never see them on an AC release ever.

From what I read, this is going to be the X2 port we have asked for. I also laugh about "New features" like edit mode and doubles.
