I'm looking for a compilation of ES/EES songs that differ from the AC games. As you might expect from some of my previous threads, I have a fairly good list, but it likely has at least a few mistakes and omissions in it.
MAX1/MAX2 PS2:
All CS games have ES/EES songs identical to the AC games.
Extreme PS2:
The PS2 JP version also has Max. (period) as an ES song. It is forced on 1.5x reverse no-recover like the others.
The PS2 NA version (Extreme 1) also has Trip Machine Survivor as an ES song. It is forced on 1.5x reverse no-recover like the others.
Question: Is anything wrong or missing here?
SN1 PS2:
The PS2 NA version also has Max 300 (Super-Max-Me Mix) as an ES song. It is forced on 1.5x rainbow reverse no-recover like the others.
Question: What about the PS2 JP version?
SN2 PS2:
The PS2 NA version has no special Final Stage. Instead, it has Unreal as an ES song, forced on 1.5x rainbow reverse no-recover. It also has NGO as an EES song, forced on 1x vivid sudden-death.
Questions: What about the PS2 JP version? And this is a minor detail, but what does the sudden-death lifebar look like on-screen in the PS2 NA version? Does it look like SN1 AC's (1/4 full, red, no text) or SN2 AC's (1/4 full, red, flashing "Danger!" text)?
X1 PS2:
The PS2 NA version also has Pluto as a special Final Stage along with On the Break. It also has Pluto Relinquish as an EES.
X2 PS2:
The PS2 NA version has Dance Dance Revolution ( or ?) as the special Final Stage, Pluto the First ( or ?) as an Extra Stage along with Kimono Princess, and DEGRS () as an EES along with roppongi Evolved.
Questions: I'm not too sure about much of this. I recall PtF being forced on for ES, which doesn't happen for any other game ever, but I also recall Kimono Princess being locked to EES (not ES) at one point, which I'm very unsure about. Can someone clarify?
Other questions:
Do any games not listed here (EX2 PS2 NA, Festival/Strike/Party Collection PS2 JP, etc.) have Extra Stages? If so, what songs/mods/difficulties are they?
With the obvious exception of DEGRS on X2 PS2 NA and possibly PtF as well, are there any other songs that were forced on difficulty during Extra Stage? I recall that in all previous games, was never selectable on ES/EES. unless the player was playing an already fully-unlocked song.

I believe SN1 US CS had several different extra stage songs depending on which mode you would play in (Easy, Medium,Hard & All Music)
Easy being MAX 300 (Super-Max-Me Mix)
Medium being Healing-D-Vision
Hard being Fascination MaxX
All Music being Fascination -eternal love mix-
And Chaos being the EES for all modes

Yep, I have that, but I think only MAX 300 (SMMM) is different from the arcade version (unless AC and CS use different forced modifiers. Did they? I doubt it though.)

Max 300 SMMM isn't in Supernova JPCS. In its place as the Easy ES is Trim.
From what I recall of X2CS, the extra stages followed an Extra Rush pattern. In other words:
At the start of the game:
FS = Dance Dance Revolution
ES = PTF
EES = Kimono Princess
After ??? (Unlocking DDR?)
PTF down to Final Stage
KP down to Extra Stage
EES = DEGRS
After unlocking PTF(?)
KP down to Final Stage
DEGRS down to Extra Stage
EES = Roppongi Evolved

I believe you have Kimono and DEGRS criss crossed.

Extreme 2 and STR!KE did not feature Extra/Encore stages, because their freeplay modes were irreversibly on Event Mode. They had some interesting Dance Master Mode conclusions, though.
EXTRA STAGE on FESTIVAL (IIRC), was MAXIMIZER, then SAKURA. No EES/OMES in that version.
Party Collection, IIRC, allowed a selection of EXTRA STAGE options: Freedom, STARS (NAOKI's 2nd Style), Can Be Real, I Need You (InsideOut something Mix), and PARANOiA -Respect-. No idea about EES.
1st Mix would auto-kick you to PARANOiA MAX (in roulette) (+1 to current difficulty) if you SS'ed your final stage on Hard. I say that because it was just PARANOiA MAX, but with PARANOiA classic's stepchart.
Yeah... when it came to boss stages, X2 CS was just... NO. The wider timing windows made KIMONO PRINCESS's consecutive step-jump-steps nigh-impossible to hit on a challenge/OMES lifebar. roppongi EVOLVED is really the only boss song I play on it now.

Universe 3 also has a Bonus/Extra Stage system. If you get AA's on charts that add up to at least 8 during your first two stages, you'll get a Bonus Stage, and AA'ing your third on will get you Extra Stage. During these, the game will randomly select any one of the unlockable songs of the game, which you'll be able to play with a battery lifebar, and a combination of modifiers... usually 2.5x or 3x, sometimes reverse, sometimes mirror, sometimes hidden, sometimes boost, sometimes dark.
Failing a Bonus Stage will not result in a Game Over, but will return you to the song select screen. If it wasn't unlocked already, it will remain hidden. Clearing songs on Bonus/Extra Stages enable them for regular play. *Usually* Bonus Stages are not on Reverse, and Extra Stages are, but even that changes once in awhile.
There are 5 additional Extra Stages you can play as Extra Stage for AA'ing an chart. These are: Out of Decaf , 888 , KEEP ON MOVING (Orbit 7 Remix) , L.A. EVOLVED , and deltaMAX .
That among other factors really makes me want to play a custom build of Universe 3.
DDR II for Wii has the Replicant-D-Action Extra Stage System for AA'ing your (final stage?), where you begin with three songs enabled - every time you pass one of those you get another enabled. These songs included:
-Pierce The Sky
-Sakura Sunrise
-UNBELIEVABLE (Sparky Remix)*
-Shiny World
-888
-Anti-Matter
-New Decade*
-London EVOLVED
-deltaMAX
-POSSESSION
-Valkyrie Dimension
*These two stages had LONG versions that were ALSO playable as RDA stages.
It was either that, or your next-to-final stage, and then you could choose the subfolder for your final stage with those in it. Oddly enough, VANESSA and MEI were featured in the game too, but not here!

I own DDR II, and from some preliminary testing I think its RDA system works like this:
- Like all Wii games, there is no Extra Stage/EES or any kind of "1st Stage", "2nd Stage", "Final Stage", etc. It is always on "Event Mode".
- The game has an invisible counter that goes up each time you A a song on or higher.
- If you leave Free Play mode, the counter goes back to 0. If you play a song or get a B or worse (including fails) on another difficulty, the counter does not reset but instead stays where it is.
- When the counter reaches 3, the RDA folder is unlocked and the counter stops counting.
- Like all Wii games, there are no forced mods for RDA.
Alongside Vanessa and Mei, Zeta is also not in the RDA folder.
