i'm devistated. i thought i was one of the better Ziv RB3 guitarists. our scores have been really close on the easier stuff, i was excited to see where we were on impossibles then i saw your GGaHT score after one of my best runs ever and i was so sad Sad

Then I probably shouldn't tell you that that's not my best score. :X

@Mars - holy crap

@Silent - damn. i feel slightly better though as i was sorting through all my RB pics organizing everything by what game i did it on (RB, RB2, LRB, RBU, and RB3) and found an 88% 328k score on GGaHT on RB2. no idea when i did that, but i need to try and duplicate it. i normally only score between 80-82% with about 250k, apparently i had a fluke run i forgot about.

edit- anyone know a way to cache your DLC? RB2 did it automatically, and i dont want to wait for 300+ (dont know the exact amount, but i just blew $100 on DLC, 258 + what i bought = well over 300 songs) to load every time.

I have to go oand buy a 2nd guitar tomorrow. Which guitars are actually built well enough to play the harder stuff?

I would suggest buying one of the Beatles guitars off amazon if you're able to (spend the money for it). The guitars are better built so that it feels like an actual guitar for taller people, since the RB1 strat is tiny. The only problem with the beatles guitar is that there's a wider arch when strumming. I say problem because it would make alt-strumming very difficult when bottoming out the strum bars. It can easily be fixed if you have experience in modding controllers.

The beatles bundle guitar and rock band 2 controller are also good because they are quieter and provide the auto-calibration features.

It all comes down to what you're able to find. Just stay away from a RB1 controller if you don't like the clacking noise. But even that can be modded for an increase in sensitivity and decrease in noise with aluminum tape.

Personally, stay away from Mad Catz controllers. Despite Harmonix contracting them to make the controllers, I still don't trust them with their quality, due to some bad experiences years ago. Heck, I already had to replace my first cymbal kit because they wouldn't register at all.

the guitar hero world tour and guitar hero 5 controllers are my guitars of choice (they're the same guitar, btw). i lose track of where i am on the strat, but silent is right about the beatles controller. i used it a few times and its a very solid, well built guitar.

I am now first place on Under Pressure(RB3 version) on Guitar :>
I am still first place on Under Pressure on Guitar :>

Yet, my gameplay info on the rock band website says that my best performance is on Charlene Pro Drums.

OH what the hell, now it's saying that my stellara performance is Another One Bites the Dust Pro Drums. And I didn't even FC that song!

I don't think it'll ever say that my stellar performance is FIRST PLACE ON THE FREAKING LEADERBOARDS ARGH

For those that I've friended, I made four setlists for Drums if you guys wanna take a look at them :3 (notably Tyma, and n00b)

I'll check them out! My house-mate has someone staying over for a few days, but hopefully I'll still get a chance to bang out a few tries on the setlist.

Are the Queen songs from last week any fun on drums? The 2 Queen songs on Lego Rock Band seemed really, really bland to me :{

I played the Harmonix setlist for the new Queen song.

I had to turn No Fail on :<

So yes, they're fun and challenging Smile

That's my rock band catalog. It's about 500 songs and I typed it up for get-togethers. It makes finding songs easier instead of looking at the screen and a lot easier to tell you people what songs I have :>

It's not a trophy for sharing a setlist. I think it's just to make a setlist.

I thought the Queen Band Battle would register for the Harmonix Recommends setlist goal, but it didn't.

I'm ranked no. 6 for that setlist Smile

How does "3 mics" work? Is Guitar Hero mic + Singstar mics viable as 3, or as 2?

That depends on the song itself.

Bohemian Rhapsody requires three singers to sing the song in Harmony
Wanted Dead or Alive requires two singers to sing the song in Harmony.

I found those out by filtering the library so that it shows me the respective harmony parts.

2 Mics and 3 Mics is shorter to type out than "2 Part Harmony" and "3 Part Harmony". The latter also takes more space so it will shrink the whole document horizontally so that it fits into one page.

I'm not even sure if you can use one mic to sing three parts. I'll give that a try sometime later this week.
