Does k-PIU some kind of "lifebar that is harder when you are at later stage" system?
FailEndOfSong is missing from there so most of the arcades i've seen have stage break off because the reverse is true too: if you fail one hold with stage break it's credit over already when it just feeds you misses every 16th.

I honestly think a good method for converting DDRX to PIU is to multiply by 9/4, take the square root, multiply by the number of steps, subtract by the BPM, then take the second derivative of this pattern across all charts and add that to the total, then subtract by the number of total songs in the mix, add the total number of breaths you took while playing it for the first time divided by the number of misses you got, and finally, take the entire thing to the power of the number of times you said Fuck! after you stubbed your toe on the cabinet when you fell over from all the crossovers.
