It goes to show how easily you can cause a stir just from silly derailment of ZIv's forum activity. I'm not too opposed for more moderation in this site, but I feel that specific roles should be put into perspective.
When I was mod, I only had to deal with member activity and control when I felt like I needed to, even if my decisions weren't the best. The silly shitposting forum games scenario that happened yesterday and the days before that are some good examples. It's been shown that I'm not exactly the best person when it comes to dealing with that. I left that up to guys like Alex.
However, what I mostly did was some site maintenance, news posts, moderate simfile management, and thread sticking. That was basically it. The primary reason why I backed away from my position was that my real life activities were personally more important to me. The secondary reason was a shift of interest. Nothing major.
Maybe in the future, I could come back as a mod and do what I did before. Wouldn't make too much of a difference.
