Are there any gameplay elements from old mixes you wish were brought back?

I was listening to the radio this morning, and Atomic Kitten's "Right Now" was playing.

Flashback to 5th Mix days, followed by "Too bad StepMania is the only way to play full-length songs now." Unless I buy a copy of 5th mix.

Do you miss any gameplay elements from the past?

The CS nonstop system in Max(2) - SN2. At least I think they're all the same... really only played EX2 and SN like crazy. I was peeved how X and X2 grouped songs. Messes up my speed mod selection, picks songs I don't really like as a picky person, combines incredibly easy with incredibly difficult songs. I honestly just want 90% of the expert charts on shuffle and I'm a happy clam.

It's understandable why grouping would be way easier than picking and choosing, but the hardest difficulty got too hard for me and the next one down was too easy. And... it also probably had something crazy hard thrown in there.

The only feature I really want brought back is Course Mode - yeah, I can't play any of the Oni courses (I don't step consistently enough to 4LIFE 5+ songs in a row), but I really liked it, and even then, watching people trying to 4 LIFE insanely hard courses (namely VS REPLICANT (from X2) and REVOLUTION (from X3)) was always really really impressive.

While I don't mind Good's not breaking combo, I do sort of wish they kept Almost timing still in.

It would be nice to still have ENCORE EXTRA STAGE, though given DDR A I have no idea what it would be used for.
