Hi everyone, I just recently got my hands on an old Extreme cabinet and looking to clean it up and give it some love. I have zero technical or electrical experience and this is my first arcade machine, but owning DDR has been something I've wanted to do for years and I've finally been able to do it! My question involves the microswitches/start/select buttons on the front of the cabinet. The buttons of mine work but the majority of the bulbs are dead. I'd like to swap them out for LEDs, but the only guides I can find are specific to replacing the stage panels. Do I need new microswitches that can handle LED lights and rewire the front of the cabinet, or can I just shove a new LED bulb into a 10+ year old button switch and call it good? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi acethecorgi,
Yes you can replace the 12v bulbs with LED's.
I bought 6x 12v LED wedge bulbs from here: http://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/awuk-12v-10mm-wedge-base-led.html
They are naturally much brighter than the originals and when the cabinet is powered on they do not completely fade out. Instead they come on and stay dim but when the buttons are meant to flash they do light up brightly.
You can also replace the 4x marquee bulbs with LED's too which I've done and the results are the same as the buttons.
