My local Round 1 (Eastridge) has IIDX and I've been wanting to get into the game. I need a list of songs to help get my feet wet. Any suggestions?

If you don't have significant experience with button-based rhythm games with over 4 keys, start with Beginner charts, and then when you don't have much problems with Beginner 3's, go on to non-Beginner 1's and maybe 2's (I'm pretty sure Beginner difficulty ratings don't match with non-Beginner difficulty ratings). Then again, this is coming from someone who started playing using only one hand on the keys, which isn't really an ideal way to play.
I assume you have access to copula, which according to BEMANIWiki (if I'm reading Google Translate correctly), has a folder for Beginner charts in the normal music selection. There also should be a folder for each individual non-Beginner difficulty, so it should be easy to find 1's and 2's when you're done with Beginner charts.

Play in Beginner mode.
It has a good selection of songs to pick from. (Compared to the level 1's list which is pretty lame)
Enjoy!
