ZHD Project - Zyon, Hachi Hachi, and Dynamix Collaboration Event (iOS/Android)

So this was just announced and makes for some somewhat* surprising news. Let's talk about it.
*As far as I was aware, all 3 of these games from Hong Kong publishers...

Zyon, Hachi Hachi, and Dynamix are all original rhythm games currently available for iOS and Android. Since Hachi Hachi doesn't have a thread here, and Zyon's is pretty weak, I have decided to consolidate the news for all of the activity in this event on this thread.

For a primer:

* Zyon is developed by Aquatrax. It's a Vocaloid-themed game with three different play styles, two of which involve reading the notes in a ripple pattern. The main game is $1.99 and song packs, bundled with characters and themes, cost $3.99 each. Lots of Vocaloid music, but there are still some other instrumental tracks.

* Hachi Hachi is developed by Skytree. Gameplay is like maimai but slightly twisted around at points. It's a free download with energy limits and optional IAPs to buy in-game currency and unlock old event songs for $1.99 each. The soundtrack is mostly vocal J-pop-type stuff from what I've been able to play. This game is notable for having a live PvP match feature which is used for the competition event structures.

* Dynamix is developed by C4Cat. It's your standard tap-hold-slide falling notes rhythm game, split into three hitlines; the left, bottom, and right of your screen. The game is a free download, but limits the amount of songs you can unlock by rank and some play settings. Removing the limit is $3.99, song packs also cost $3.99. Soundtrack has a heavy emphasis on hardcore techno and trance, but overall I would say boasts a more complete variety of genres than the other two.

So... wow. This is pretty big. A rhythm game collaboration of this scale has never happened to mobile devices before.

Well that's bullshit but I never expected much from this sad game. Hachi Hachi has always been everything people hate about CROSSxBEATS made 5 times worse, and with barely any memorable music to make up for it.

Let's wait and see how Dynamix and Zyon fare, in June and July, respectively.

Dynamix 3.0 is now live on both Android and iOS!

Bump, okay so a Zyon update has just been released today. It includes a theme and song pack available for purchase of the vocaloid MAYU from EXIT TUNES among a free pack of the songs from ZTD. (Duet and 春菊 were already available since the last update as default songs.)

No word on Dynamix's part in the event yet.
