[WIP] DDRA Theme

Good theme so far, even though it's incomplete. Now I can play DDR A without having to go to an arcade.

Hi guys, time without posting here. I've been busy updating some of my DDR themming snippets for the DDRX theme(s) rearrange, that's the reason of why I haven't posted updates I'll get back from the break with the DDRA theme.

The judgement font is a custom version of Handel Gothic as far as I've checkout while I was redrawing it. Ypu culd try doing them with it.

Thanks to all for the support, I'll promise my next post will be an update I'll have to create some custom fonts for the timer and the combo, the SM5 font generator cropped the ones that I've made and also have to find japanese fonts to fit with the theme. See ya guys and thanks for watching.

I always seen that the screen says Extra stage level 3, there are variations of the level number? Or is always 3? Also, for the extra exclusive information graphic, what are the songs for it? Rising Fire Hawk and New Century until this moment?


DDRA doesn't have how to play screen that is a song, you like to include the instructions if the song is played?

Well, I'm back to this theme friends, I'll be working on the final results screen and the stage information and results screens. I'll post here when I have important things to show, at this moment I have some unfinished things, I'm checking timing for the elements, a little screenshot to check it out:

There are variations, I'll have to hunt them down to show you at some point.
The song for Level 1 is New Century, and Level 2 is RISING FIRE HAWK. There is no Level 3 EXTRA EXCLUSIVE song yet.

What you could do is that during the attract screen, a video capture of the Hoy To Play from the arcade AKA Lesson by DJ is played, up until the part where it cuts off. The DDR X and DDRMAX themes do that as well for their How to Play screens. Here's a video capture of Lesson by DJ, but it's the Japanese version for now.



However, the actual Attract screen uses default modifiers and has some added elements. You can see how the real attract screen looks in any of Dr. D's recent livestreams.

OMG! it looks really nice MadkaT, i'm really exciting. I want to help you about images, files etc. but i'm lazy and i dont know anything about graphic.

Now I got it! I have seen the song, but not the new how to play screen, to implement it, we need two lineout videos from the same user (to get the same quality) playing in each side to split them and join later for a clean cropped version.

For the extra exclusives and extra savior screens I will nes lineouts to extract the graphics, sounds if are possible, and to check the elements position to create closer to the original, if you guys find goos lineouts from missing things, please post them here that is helpful to me.

This video has a very clear animation for TRY EXTRA STAGE + EXTRA EXCLUSIVE, so this might be a good reference point if you are using this animation.

You could do the same for Electric Dance System Music to get a placeholder for the background in the menus (the clouds)

Maybe, but it will not be the same cause it has to be cropped, and need a lot of videos to complete the loop. I will think about it I don't like the idea for that video, but if is the only way I will do it

A lot of time without news I was messing with the 3rdMix theme and some other improvements and I have not time to this theme, but there is some news to post

I've added the timer font and the bgframe of it.




The timer doesn't have the usual animation, I will add it later.

Also I was drawing the stage information graphics, now it includes the sidebars, I've also finished the top element, wothout the glare, but I haven't calculated the final size and is not exported to png.



About the extra stage animation is not into the repository, because I have not made the branch and the conditions to trigger it. I need to draw some graphics to finish it. At the moment only has the level 3 animation, I hope in a future someone of the users that can capture the HD videos could help us with the missing screens, at least for the rinon arts. The other elements need to be drawn to increase quality.

I've created the ready/go graphics, but I forgot to take a screenshot, they are missing some elements, but the theme looks more complete

That's all until now, I will be messing with the combo numbers and placing the combo elements in the screen to makea playable version of the gameplay screen, and try to finish some graphics to update the stage information screen. I'll be working to bring more updates, there is a lot of stuff near to be complete. See ya guys.

You'll have to redraw some of the animation, but I believe I posted in the post right before your last one a collection of all of the extra stage animations. I shouldn't repost my own comment 2 comments ago, but I'll quote:
