Thanks! LOL tbfh, I was nervous to post this thread...because I didn't think I'd find anyone who'd love the DDR mockups I assembled. Eversince getting banned back at '09, I've been insecure with all of my posts. I'm glad you guys enjoy my DDR mockups! Thank you all very much! I may upload more DDR mockups in the future.

Please note that, while I'm flattered that my videos appear in two of the songs, the DDRMAX2 RandomMovie directory is messy. There are videos in there that didn't exist at the time (e.g. ring6), fan-made videos from my pack that shouldn't be in an official release (e.g. ANGLE.avi), multiple videos are duplicated all over the place (disco1, fabric1)... It unfortunately makes downloading this a pain in the ass.

In addition, barely any of the scripts actually add up (a number of them use the DDR Extreme scripts). Don't know about DDRMAX, but I assume (because of the large download size) it's the same. So unfortunately the background scripts are going to have to be fixed from scratch.

BUT mostly everything else is accurate. Seriously, I don't know how you made the song wheel display in the correct order instead of just randomly scrambled or linear. Only other thing I recommend is fixing the preferences so it's not on timing level 1 (this is rampant in the releases you've given me so far).

DDR Max 2's bg videos ARE the DDR Extreme bg videos... except for the songs that came from the USA DDR Max 1 to the JP DDR Max 2 for the PS2. And luckily, I don't think barely any of the BG scripts has your videos tbh...but they're still in the random movies folder. I'll fix that sometime.

Also, for DDR Max 1, I have 90% of those songs with their appropriate BG videos. I worked on that one the most tbh.

I don't wanna be that guy but 70% of DDRMAX2's scripts AREN'T the same as DDR Extreme;

They removed some videos (like every video in AFRONOVA's script except the first one ) to fit new ones that are callbacks to the earlier DDR releases and BEMANI games that existed at the time, and to fit more songs. The annoying factor is that the DDRMAX2 scripts are harder to find than the EXTREME ones. The DDRMAX scripts are the same but they are all viewable in this video. When I finish them I will be getting to DDRMAX2. The Konami originals are a pain to find but I think all of them are on YouTube in SOME sort of way at this point...hopefully.

Sorry if I sound ungrateful. As I said, this one works well right out of the box, and you did a good job in the other things like the songlist. Fixing this aspect will make this about a 95% accurate release.

Unfortunately I've sort of lost interest in DDR as things stand. I'll get to it as soon as I get motivated again. Keep up the good work, though, I'm eager to see more simulations like the UK releases. :P

Also going with the thread, I was creating a DDRAC pack, but I'm out of time to continue with the theme



It has the boot sequence simulation, courses, etc. The only missing thing are BG Scripts. It only has CuzcoBlocko RM pack beacuse I'm out of space on my pc about the BG dancers, I prefer some fan-made bgscript than videos of the 3d characters someday someone with the enough time and interest will create them.

I'll chek those setups later with my arcade panel thanks for sharing.

I would love to see a DDR X mockup.

Also, thanks for the squared banners. I think I DID download that, but they still didn't fit for some reason. I think it's the theme.

Yes, it has a scale function, to fix the theme without touch the code just enlarge the image to 614x192, leaving the square banner in the middle liek I show in this thumb:



And it will show fine.



About the DDRX port, I'll be taking it back later, I'll rework the theme, the actual version has a lot of unused files. And an older SM5 version I'l be working on it with the theme update. Maybe I'll upload later my actual version.

You can also just resize the jackets to 173x168 for the DDR'10 theme and they should work.

Here's a preview of something that this thread inspired me to work on. It uses Beware's version of Extreme as a base. It's almost ready to go, I just need to figure out how to remove the folder sort from the song wheel and then clean up some things.

In the game, go to options then go to "appearance options", then go down to "Wheel Sections" and highlight "Never."

Then (here's the hard part) go to edit mode and edit the scale ratings of the songs, to the classic scale.

And it looks like you're trying to do an arcade version of 5th mix... so return to your options, go to "Coin Options" then highlight "Pay" in that very first option, and make sure "Event Mode" is turned off. ALSO, don't forget to go to "Machine Options" and turn ON the Menu Timer.

That doesn't answer the question I asked. I've already done that anyhow.
The way the sort methods are right now is the following: CUSTOM, FOLDER, ABC, PLAYER'S BEST . FOLDER is what I'm trying (and failing) to remove due to it's redundancy.
The song ratings I'm doing last and are low priority. I want to make sure the rest of the game is solid. (and considering I'm using Beware's Extreme here without changing much, it's pretty hacked together to begin with)
Coin mode will default to FreePlay due to personal preference and can be changed at any time by the end user.

I honestly don't know, then. Beware himself could maybe help you? Because he's the only person I know who pulls off the Folder Sort feature.
