As far as Dave and Busters is concerned, around happy hour they turn up the music that plays in the arcade so loud you can barely hear the machine, at the Irvine Spectrum location anyway. The manager was very polite and said he would turn the volume down, but it either never happened or was to little to notice.
D&B at Orlando was happy to leave the volume of the machine at a pretty nice high volume to where even in the middle of a busy night (which can be every night there, Orlando is incredibly busy) you can hear the machine even when you are standing away from it.Haven't had issues with the audio of the radio going on being loud in a while though, so I don't know if they don't bother turning it up anymore or the machine is loud enough that I don't even notice anymore.

I actually mentioned that to the manager I spoke too. He said something about keeping all the games on the same volume level, and that he would be more comfortable turning down the music. Different strokes for different stores I guess. I hope the one in Chicago is as accommodating.

These songs are not currently unlockable if you didn't do it before:
SDVX | Strobe♡Girl
SDVX | second spring storm
SDVX | ドキドキ☆流星トラップガール!!
SDVX | Strobe♡Girl
SDVX | second spring storm
SDVX | ドキドキ☆流星トラップガール!!
Now that you mention these songs i have a little question. As far as i remember, from time to time the POLICY BREAK/FLOOR INFECTION event from SDVX allows to unlock previous songs for other games if you can't unlock it in the regular phase, but in order to do this you need to play SDVX first to fill a bar to unlock a song on the other BEMANI game.
So, considering SDVX is only on Japan, that's means these songs are likely inaccessible for international machines?

Sound Voltex (and lots of other Bemani) is available exclusively at all Round1 arcades in the US, so only technically.

Every song japan get's in the updates we get. Every Bemani game at Round 1 here in the USA is connected to japan's e-amuse server so every update they get, we get.

One can only hope that either Konami is gonna unlock those by default for us, or Konami could later on do a location test for SDVX since we now have the eAmuse servers to give it a go. If SDVX IV ever comes to existence, that would be the perfect time to do one. Same goes for IIDX SINOBUZ (or better yet, IIDX 25, which I really hope is gonna be a special 20th anniversary game for Bemani...

Why was Mirai Prism even removed from the American version of DDR A, anyway? Maybe it has something to do with the people who composed the song.

I mean, the X cab is probably the best looking. If the lag issue with X dedicabs isn't there, I'm game.

A couple more things (I had to end abruptly to go to work):
-U1 basically stepped into "the NAOKI shoes" in this mix, and he did it WELL, imho. A good mix of fun and challenging songs all around, and he uses a lot of his aliases this time around. Catchy stuff, too!
-Now is a terrific time to brush up on your Japanese Alphabet. In the alphabetical listings, it begins with Japanese alphabet, and songs with Japanese titles are sorted into those first. So, for example, you'd find SAKURA and sana morlette ne ente under the "sa" character*. If all else fails, pay attention to the first character of the Japanese songs that you like, so you'll know where to find them. Numericals are still clustered together, but they're placed at the end of the index now, rather than the beginning. (Since I didn't know where to find IX, I'm not sure if it's under "I" or in the numericals; but then, V is under "V" too, so...)
*for the approx. four remaining members that don't know Japanese here: Each letter is like a combination of a consonant and a vowel, if it isn't a vowel itself, or "n," which is it's own thing. "Tsu" ~= "Su," even though it's technically different too.

You are forgetting that Round1 isn't the only place DDR A is at. D&B players would have no way of unlocking any of those songs, or any song that required another Bemani game to unlock.Post #2114 · Posted at 2016-07-22 04:12:47pm 7.7 years ago

It would be under "ナ" because it's read as "Nine"Post #2115 · Posted at 2016-07-22 04:18:37pm 7.7 years ago

You can turn off jumps on AC now? When did that happen? (I remember doing that on SN2 CS to get past NGO and the other jump-happy bastard bosses, and then finding I couldn't do it at the arcade and being sad. Or was that X2 CS? Whichever one had Dice Master Mode with that impossible beginner mission to SDP some slow Mexican song on 1x, that kept me from unlocking the boss songs).

Dice Master Mode was in X2 CS.

Are the japanese character songs really listed first in the US version of DDR A? I would have put those at the end...

Regardless, just be glad it's not like how Sound Voltex's alphabet order works, since it's exclusively in kanji. Only Round1 partons know the struggle of trying to find songs like Brain Power and not having enough time because you don't know any form of Japanese. (It's even worse with Museca because of the missions requiring you to use certain graficas, and you're hopelessly lost unless you happen to look it up on RemyWiki on your phone before time runs out ).
At least DDR and IIDX are the most user-friendly to foreigners where you're at least able to find certain songs fast regardless if you only know how to go through the menus by muscle memory, or trial and error.

Really? What aliases does U1 have? I thought it's just U1, U1-[insert descriptor here], and formerly 2MB, which he doesn't use anymore.
