Hello, I was creating some .edit files in SM5 to reduce duplicity in some Simfiles, I've added the edits in the Machine Profile edits folder (save/machineprofile/edits) and in the song selection the edit is properly displayed, but when I'm goin to play it, is empty! This feature is working? Or need some special guidelines to work? Thanks.

Hey, I literally signed up to the site to help you out with this as I'm sure a few people who are starting in SM5 will have a similar issue and since I'd worked it out I thought I'd help out.
In SM5 to get edits to be seen you need to do the following:
In the edit folder place the a folder with the name of the mix that the edit is from example below:
Dance Dance Revolution 1st Mix
Then in that folder, place another folder with the exact song title example below:
MAKE IT BETTER
Then in that folder, place your edit file - it doesn't have to have the same name as the song, so whatever you call it will work. Make sure though that in that .edit file you have as the first line:
#SONG:MAKE IT BETTER;Dance Dance Revolution 1st Mix;;
This line has both the song title and the mix title in it, separated by a semi-colon - don't forget to put two semi-colons at the end.
It's a bit of a pain but it works. This same method works with USB memory cards too.
If you've got any questions, feel free to ask.

That's not the problem he's having. It sees the edit, but it appears blank.

Leadbman was right, If I put the edit without the structure, this will cause strange thing, like appearing in the screen difficulty but with empty steps or not recognizing the edit file. If I recreate the song structure in the edits folder and place the edit in the song group folder, the edit appears and is playable. I would prefer to not reply the folder structure, but this method works. Thanks!
