I can't possibly see any home versions of this coming out either accurate to the arcade style, or cheap. Confused And it'll probably be Japan-only. Will be quite interesting to watch, and even more interesting to try it at some rare arcade that imprts it! Big Grin

">Sad"
i could see what the home controller would look like. A 17'' X 17" square 3-d panel with a raised back so the 16 sensor controller is aimed at an angle towards the player. I could def. see a home ver. of this.

I was talking about the individual screens within each button... a controller with 16 separate screens would not be sold cheaply, and it won't be accurate to the arcade if the controller simply has 16 plain buttons and the button graphics/animations are in a grid on the TV screen. I could certainly see what the controller would look like, but I'm saying that home play will either be vastly different from arcade play, or too expensive to bother. This game looks pretty fun to me, though. Surprised

I figured they would make it like Simon Says, and just light up the buttons you're supposed to touch... or something. Neutral

Either way, I wanna play this NOW. I really wish I could go to Japan right now. D:

Some people seem to think it's a touch interface, but from what I saw it's 16 transparent buttons which get pressed at the right times.

I'm surprised at how good people already are.

Konami has made a home ver. of every single bemani game made. Do you think a home ver. of Jubeat is possible?

Sure it's possible, but after seeing it, I have to agree with others that there's no way to make a cost effective home version which is true to arcade version.

The key difference is that the game interface and the game screen are tied together, thus to make a home version you'd essentially have to sell a screen/controller pack, which would be expensive.
