The right yellow button on my pop'n music controller keeps acting as if it's being pressed down when it's not and vice versa. Is there any way to fix this (other than buying a new controller)?

Is there any way or button combination to reset/recalibrate it?

I don't imagine that a non-analog controller would have something like that.

However, I do know that the pop'n controller normally holds three d-pad directions at once to be recognized by the games (Left, Down, and Right, if I remember correctly), and that the right yellow button uses whichever of those directions isn't held at all times.
But that would imply that somehow Up and Down are mapped backwards somehow, and I have no idea how that would happen or how it could be fixed if you're using it on a PS2 (as opposed to using an adapter for PC or something).

All I know is that the right yellow button is mapped as up on the d-pad and all the other buttons are mapped as separate (i.e. not d-pad or analog) buttons. It could be the adapter I'm using, but I honestly have no way of testing that out.
