I'm putting this theme on hiatus as I work on the Supernova3 project.

Looks really good, better than the previous versions. Just curious: do you know a way to get the songwheel to stop displaying all the DDR X scale things as red (since those are "boss songs")? I remember in 3.9 there was a metric I could edit that was something like "ExtraColorMeter=10" but I'm clueless when it comes to SM5 metrics.

Maybe another obvious answer and I am pretty good with older Stepmania. Now that I have downloaded newer Stepmania and have all my song packs the only song that shows up in this theme is Rhythm and Police....any help with getting the other songs/packs to show up or is this script based to emulate only Extreme songs?

You have to sort by pressing left and right at the same time on the song wheel. I think that might be a Preferred Sort file that provokes that. These allow you to have a sorting that is identical to the arcade game, as in, the songs being listed by license, revivals, konami originals, bemani crossovers and boss songs, and color code them, by writing the simfile names on the file in preferred order and with the color code you want. The themer might have left in one that only lists Rhythm and Police by mistake.

00:26.155: Theme element "Graphics/Banner Preferred" could not be found in "Themes/DDR-EXTREME-JP-SM5-master/" or "Themes/_fallback/".
Shuts the program down....

Frustrating.....did not have this error before

Quick fix, go into the other folder in the theme and delete "SongManager EXTREMEAC.txt"

or

Open metrics.ini and delete the [Gamestate] portion. It should resolve both problems

I'm not even sure if you can help with these things, but I figure it can't hurt to ask. Unless you're busy and don't want to be bothered with this, hence why I asked if it was okay, but anyway, here goes.

If you help me with nothing else, I would love to know why things always go off the edges of my screen no matter what theme I'm using.

(I had all these pictures inserted into the post, but the resizing didn't work, and they were way too big.)

It's always the left and right edges. It's just too wide, even though I have it set to the right aspect ratio. I can force it with the overscan correction, but that causes its own weirdness.

Without overscan correction, the arrows are right on the edge of the screen, and the bottom right is cut off. Not that it matters, the score at the bottom never changes; it stays zero the entire time regardless of timing or combos.

It does this to the scoring whenever I play, every time. It's not always those specific values, but it's always some incredibly small number, with the score itself just being zeroes (and in a weird spot). Not to mention the value bars under the grade...

Not sure at all what's going on with that bottom part.

Anyway, like I said, if nothing else, I'd love for any theme I downloaded ever to stop going past my left and right screen edges. I don't understand why it's doing this. I have tried every display option there is. I tried windowed versus full screen, I tried different resolutions and aspect ratios. Nothing worked except overscan, which kind of boxes everything in. It's not unbearable, but I just wish I knew why it was doing this. If there's something I can edit to make the themes stop being too wide for my monitor, I will absolutely do that. I don't mind doing the work, but I'm completely new to SM5 and it's been almost a decade since I played the older versions, and theme editing was never something I looked into back then anyway (we weren't exactly lacking in good themes), so basically I'm pretty lost.

Any help at all is appreciated.

A couple of those things are things I haven't gotten to but from the looks of the first few screenshots with the window kinda overscanning looks like a compatibility issue?

What is the issue with though? Is it my computer, my OS, my monitor size? (I like my monitor, but it is old and not widescreen.)

As a tip, try checking stepmania's display resolution. I have the feeling that you have set it bigger than your desktop resolution.
Or, if you have set it exactly as your desktop resolution that's expected since, you know, the borders take space. Try doing ALT+ENTER.

I tried every combination of resolution and aspect ratio I could think of, starting with the ones accurate to my monitor and then changing them in an effort to get it to display correctly. None of them worked.

What is ALT+Enter supposed to do? It didn't change anything about my display, but I did see some text pop up for a second after I hit it.

ALT+Enter changes from Windowed mode to Full Screen (and viceversa)
What did that text said? Perhaps "Invalid mode" or something like that?

i'm truly sorry about the sorry state that the theme is in and after playing on the cab for a bit, I definitely notice all the bugs in the theme.

I'm currently in the process of moving states but I'll try and get to work on patching the theme once I can.

If I can have any info on the version of stepmania running and the aspect ratio, I'll try and iron out the bugs asap.

Also for the love of god, please change the noteskin for "Note"

I can't read it at all.
