Let me make sure I have this straight. Event songs are unlockable in all games, but playing 2 specific games unlock them faster (in this case, IIDX and SDVX)?

I guess this based on the video shown today. So, the pair of games would be:

- Beatmania IIDX/SDVX III
- DDR/Beatstream
- Gitadora/Jubeat
- Pop'n Music/Reflec Beat

Nope.

The event song is only for the machine highlighted in Blue on the calendar itself.

The machine highlighted in Orange will also unlock the song faster, but it WILL NOT be getting it in the game itself.

For today, Sound Voltex is highlighted in Blue while IIDX is highlighted in Orange. Playing either will unlock Sounds Of Summer quickly, but only SDVX will get the song. IIDX doesn't have it.

That makes much more sense, thank you.

7/26 Reflec Beat (+DDR as an helper)
7/27 Beatstream (Gitadora)
7/28 Gitadora (Beatstream)
7/29 pop'n (jubeat)
7/30 Jubeat (pop'n)
7/31 Reflec (pop'n)
8/1 pop'n (Reflec)

Not sure if it won't change (probably won't I guess), but it doesn't look like the rotation will be at the same pace for every game (DDR and IIDX where...)

This is how this event works.

You get 4.9% payout for each credit of game you play, regardless of which machine,
with these boosters:

1) 3x payout if you play the "recommended machine". Like for today, IIDX/SDVX will be the recommended ones.
2) 3x payout if you play the mission on that day. For instance, unlocking Sounds of Summer on 23/7 will give you 3x bonus, but on 24/7 onwards there are none.

For the Steel Chronicle and Quiz Magic Academy, I'll just skip that because there aren't any.

So basically you play the recommended machines 3 times, and you'll unlock the song for that day.

This is actually more gruelling than it seems. If you skip a day, you'll have to play 4 more credits to unlock it, given you're playing the recommended ones.

So unlock in 2 credits
The Majhong boost really helps as it insta-clear a day if I understood correctly, so if you missed a day, just use an orb

Do I need to unlock the previous ones if I only want to unlock Gitadora/Pop'n?

Unfortunately, yes. You have to unlock everything in order.

Even if you play MFC, you have to instant unlock everything in order, as far as I know.

According to Remywiki, there is a new song for Gitadora/Beatstream (first day you need to play Gitadora to unlock in Beatstream):

I've actually been really digging these Summer Diary songs. They all have really nice upbeat vibes. While I don't mind some of the gritty dubstep and 'core' songs in the newer installments, I've got a soft spot for 80's vibes and 'rockier' melodies
