How bout the meaning behind INSERTiON?
First there is the rather suspicious vocals put in the middle of the song, and then at the end of the song, it speeds up a bit and then there's an explosion. And the song's called Insertion. The song is about sex.

Other songs like this include After The Game Of Love, Sexy Planet and (arguably) Wild Rush.

petition to rename this thread to "what you imagine happens if you pass/fail X song"
on topic of the thread though, i think Pluto Relinquish is about how Pluto isn't considered a planet anymore (while SN2 is kinda themed about planets and stuff) and hence, relinquished.
FELM is probably about creepy abusive guy i guess ("i am all you need", "we are connected", "i am calling you"?)

I once saw in some Youtube comments someone said it was a sort of answer to "Why do you need KONAMI Original songs?" from MAX. (period). It would make sense since KONAMI Originals would pretty much take over starting from SuperNOVA, with much less licenses popping up. It's probably not the actual meaning, but it makes some sense.
Someone else actually connected it (nopunintended) to the Disconnected songs from in the groove as a sort of reference or parody, but that just sounds rather silly.

Yes, basically imagine the same guy who goes "Why do you need Konami original songs?" saying "I am all you need" right after.
"Why do you need Konami original songs? I am all you need..."
"Why do you need Konami original songs? I am all you need..."

Most of 2MB's remixes supposedly have some creepy imagery they're meant to convey (based on information given), if that counts as lore.
HVAM - Dying person
La Senorita Virtual - Stalker
Orion.78 Civilization Mix - Apocalypse
FELM - Unrequited long distance love?
Pluto Relinquish - Have no idea, death?
MAX.(period) - Well isn't this one obvious?

I think FELM is about rejection, but the caller is in denial and can't accept it and obsessively calls the ex trying to get them back.

What does the man say throughout the song? "I want you?". If he does say "I want you", then your statement could be true.

Wasn't ITG Becoming big right around this song came out?

I personally doubt it; "I like you." "I am all you need." "We are connected."I feel that the spooky phone stalker theory is more likely seeing as how the start has a hang up sound. I think its indicating the stalked person hanging up the phone quickly to avoid conversation. It also doesn't help that the stalker is laughing really eerily twice. The stalking could have been caused by rejection, but that's outside of what the song is conveying itself.
Then again, I actually don't think there's a real way to prove either of these theories, but that's my stance on it.

"All EVOLVED songs represent cities that have gone through disasters and have "EVOLVED" past them"
pretty sure the only evolved song that is in direct correlation to a city that suffered disaster is tohoku
pretty sure the only evolved song that is in direct correlation to a city that suffered disaster is tohoku
N.Y EVOLVED = 9/11 Attacks
L.A EVOLVED = All of the devastating earthquakes the city has endured
Osaka EVOLVED = ?
Roppongi EVOLVED = ?
Tokyo EVOLVED = ?
Any one care to fill in the blanks for Osaka, Roppongi and Tokyo?
All three songs reference earthquakes that have struck those cities, according to those songs' trivia on dancedancerevolutionddr.wikia.com
I'm addition, London EVOLVED references "the coordinated terrorist bombings on London on July 7, 2005, or to the riots (as evidenced by the police car sirens that can be heard throughout the song)".
Here's something I came up with using Smile.DK's songs just for fun.
Butterfly: Girl seeks a partner...
Boys: Starts going on dates...
Mr. Wonderful: Finds the one...
Petit Love: Gets clingy... wants more...
Dancing All Alone: Gets dumped...
Golden Sky: Finds another man... wants commitment...
Koko Soko: The man disappears...
A Geisha's Dream: She becomes a geisha, but continues hoping to be reunited with her man.
Butterfly: Girl seeks her partner.

um, i don't hear any sirens in London EVOLVED. pretty sure evolved songs are just random cities/locations picked and have "EVOLVED" attached to them. i dunno why tokyo/L.A./London/New York was picked, but Osaka is where NAOKI is from, same with Kansai i think. Tohoku was the one that's a homage to the disaster (hence, "Pray for All" when it's cleared instead of "CLEARED"). roppongi is the district where Konami's HQ is located.

I don't think Osaka, Roppongi, and Tokyo have any relations to disasters. Osaka, in particular, relates to Naoki's hometown.

Paranoia Hades is probably Jun's attempt of making music outside of lovey-dovey happy hardcore songs and J-pops.
What I noticed about the evolved songs is that the cities are from Japan, North America and Europe (where most games get attention when it comes to release data, not just DDR)

There's a definite backstory of sorts to it.Quote: Jun
If my memory is correct, it was the 8th of August in 2006. Under the perfect sky without clouds, I had arrived at a certain arcade in Tenoji, Osaka. I was there to attend an event... yeah, for the commemoration of DDR`s comeback. The place was packed, and I made a promise in front of all those people to produce a new PARANOiA... At that moment, my spirit was drug deep into the underworld. Hades had been calling me in my heart and told me that this was to be my new burden. At that point I devoted myself to complete the production, all the while being afraid... aware of Hades always watching me. The rhythm`s irregular change every four measures shows how nervous and disturbed I was due to Hades` continued presence. Always running to escape from Hades and the underworld, I would lose my breath and scream out... yet still keep running... my fear of Hades escalating so that my heart rate reached 300... then, I saw something when finishing up the song... it was a shadow with a huge sickle and the crimson red of...

Haven't all the evolved locations had huge disasters happen killing tons of people? I guess that could probably be said of anywhere though.
