Played roughly 9 games of MUSECA this past weekend and the only thing I'm pissed about is that it really doesn't tell you what is needed to clear story chapters and why you need to play a low ranked song as your first. I have Paseli loaded on my card, and it didn't allow me to spend it for standard play.

Ended up clearing 3 story chapters and got 2-3 more graficas at the end of the day. Loving the game.

I don't know how far goes the translation, but story's objective should be written, there is even a gauge to see how much you have clear (later missions need to play 3 or more songs sometimes)
It may also depend on the update version. Last version of Museca in Japan takes you back to the mission select screen after every song (you don't have to manually open the menu with the center button everytime)

The recent hard songs are really hard. Paradission, and especially Redshift, take the game to a whole new level. Previous 15 are just cute compared to them. I don't even understand how the KAC finalists could get such scores with how fast you need to tap/spin when the buttons are so "heavy" (I struggle to get past 80% on Redshift and always have over 100 miss...)
Heck, I even thought I did pretty well at the preliminaries (32th), but when I see the top-player it's a complete different world. It feels like a 10th dan looking at Kaiden rankers in IIDX, I'm honestly impressed by the level of these players

Finally played Museca yesterday. Lot of fun, love the interface, and very well designed. Gameplay on the harder difficulties is a bit confusing at first, but once you get used to it, it's a ton of fun. I don't get all the hatred this game has gotten, because it's not a bad game, and I think the notes are pretty visible on the white BG. Overall Museca is a 9 out of 10 for me. Needs more original content though, majority of the list is stuff from Sound Voltex and vocaloid which is nice, but I would love to see them add exclusive tracks in the future.

Finally got to play Museca at MoVal's R1 a couple hours ago.

Long story short, I had a lot more fun with the game than I thought I would! The pictures you see don't give it any justice; the game itself, from the machine to the software, looks very gorgeous in person, and once you know what to do, it's very straightforward on what you need to do (though I'll admit that the button layout confused me at times because I'm used to the 3 buttons being on the bottom row instead of the top like it is in here).

I thought I was gonna have a hard time seeing the notes after seeing pictures and even footage of the screen in action, but it's surprisingly very bright and clear once you see it for yourself.

I only had enough time to play the game twice (or the first 2 chapters in story mode), but I already want to come back and play it more; if there's enough songs to go around and it's not blocked by Paseli-related greediness, this might be my 2nd go-to Bemani game (IIDX being first, and SDVX being number 3).

If anyone has access to Museca, I highly recommend trying it at least once!

I've played this game on 4 or 5 different visits to R1 now. I really like it, but I'm also almost done unlocking and clearing all the songs. I'm only halfway through the graficas though.

For a game based on the concept of (rhythm game) x (illustrations), it doesn't photograph very well. Fullscreen portrait videos uploaded to Youtube in landscape are okay, but you should just see the game. The W-lanes aren't hard to read at all, or you can turn them off now.

The buttons feel really good. It's like Konami listened to all the hate that touchscreen rhythm games were getting, built a game all about the buttons, and then designed the rest of the game after that.

And by 'designed' I mean Museca rips off everything from SDVX. It feels like a competitor's game, not a Konami game. The developers would probably take that as a compliment though since they were trying to make their next beatmania derivative feel like NOT another beatmania derivative. Mission accomplished.

Unrelated to anything else I said, here's a list of songs which Bemaniwiki said were at the location test, but are not yet in the game. I've been watching this list shrink for awhile. The 3/23 update took a few out. The team must be working nearly a year in advance!

• Mechanician / くるぶっこちゃん

So I bet the remaining quoted songs will be patched in at the end of May.

Also, I think somehow it is now possible to get the Rasis III ver Illil graphica again. Either that or you can at least print that card without having the graphica? The website says something like "play the model 5 times before 5/15" but I'm not sure what else it says. Previously you could only get this graphica by going to the location test of Museca, so I missed it and a few others because my R1 didn't get Museca until February or March. (I already forget when I started playing lol.)

---------------------------------- APPEND POST
So those 5 songs that I predicted would be patched in at the end of May? More like May 2nd. That's 11 songs added in the last week!

They've never done two significant content patches for Museca in the same week before. Konami hasn't said when the second big "Renovation" patch will arrive but I think it's going to be soon. One, because those content patches were accelerated. And two, because there's a new grafica with the artwork from the Renovation announcement, which is available until 5/22.

Today I learned:
- Grinding when you're no longer getting play stamps, hurts. I was too used to getting 8000 coloris, 8000 muse, or a free grafica every credit. I've also completed every mission/story in the game so I'm not getting any special rewards anymore either. With a well made team I can earn 2000 coloris or 2000 muse per song (a different team for each) but omg does this feel like a drag after how fast it used to be.

- I played probably 30 credits over two days and I still have four 13s left to buy. They cost about 12000 muse each.

- Still nothing is harder than Redshift.

- Extend gifting is a waste. I understand when you spend 3000 coloris and it fails and nothing happens. I even understand when I spend 3000 coloris and I'm told the extend gift goes "catastrophically wrong" and it actually removes one of the previously successful gifts. It's shitty, but it can happen. But why can I get an Error Protect gift when I spend 8 NIS objects of another type?

- Additionally, I'm not sure if the benefits of extend gifting make sense. So lets say I manage to get a coloris +3% bonus gift onto a good grafica, which brings it from +43% to +46%. I might earn another 100 coloris per song, at most? So the gift takes Several dozen credits to pay for itself? Or how about the error damage gifts. Is there any difference between taking 81% damage from a miss and 76% damage from a miss? Especially during the 15 seconds that grafica is 'up' anyway. These aren't even incremental advantages, they're just useless. The original gift is absolutely worth it for very graphica. But I think extend gifting is terrible. Or someone needs to explain it to me.

I actually feel like albus is harder than Redshift
Or maybe I just played the latter so much that I'm used to it (still can't get to 90% on albus while I can for Redshift)

And yes, completing the grafica is rather hard since stamps are quickly over. And trying to extend gifting and failing with 10 NIS used is far too much of a hassle...there is re-work needed there (actually, not having to awake the grafica again after a set number of play is one of the recent good changes)

My critical rates for the 15s are: 90%, 90%, 90%, 89%, 89%, 88%, 82%. And the last two are Albus and Redshift, in that order. I guess you're just better at directional spins than I am. Redshift is so dense though! It's gotta be the hardest.

That feeling when:
"Yay finally a new non-duplicate grafica!!!" (63/93)
"Aw oh no wait, she's crap."
"Wait wait but YES she's part of the printable set!"

There's a 40 card set in SDVX that is supposedly the hardest thing to finish. But I'm pretty sure the 17 card Museca set is harder.

There are ten 15s and my strangely consistent scores are: 90, 90, 90, 90, 90, 89, 88, 88, 88, 82. And that's with a holder full of curve+ graphicas. Then because Redshift was giving me so much trouble I played it twice more with a default lane and curve team and I improved up to 84%. I'm pretty sure I'd gain at least 2% on any of the others too.

The Graf Hole is biased. I played 22 games yesterday, spent 160,000 coloris on 20 pulls, and got 16 overloads and 4 new graphicas. But then I go to help some new player who is still collecting daily stamps and he has TWO graphicas that I don't have! Argh!

By the way I'm saving all my overloads until I have enough to pull the rest of my non-duplicates all at once. I'm currently sitting at 66/93 with 46 overloads. I could use 40 overloads to get 4 guaranteed non-duplicates, but then I'd just be sitting at 70/93 and I'm sure I'd pull the same ones again while waiting for #85 or whatever. Someday.

I have played many times of MUSECA, there are so many Grafica But there is some sort of letters for sorting Grafica, it is hard to choose what I want to use for. But there is an auto-setting system for the score, life, coloris, musce. It is good but when I use that game getting harder than I thought, like more curve and change the shape of the UI( like from W to a straight line). It was score setting and it was better to score than before (even though kind of hard for a curve). but my percent was low.

Anyway, for getting a better score, try to get good graphica about scoring, but for getting the better percent, try to do without any graphica. None of the graphica will help your better percent. (unless graphica that makes you get better percent)

I will try to show you about sort of grafica and the sort of power.

There are 10 types of graphica. Each is good at a different thing.

Newbie Graphicas. Usually have a score penalty and they don't mess with your lane/curve.
然 - boosts starting life
月 - gives life when the graphica appears

Grinding Graphicas. The better ones turn on lane/curve/speed gimmicks.
電 - large boost to Muse collection
愛 - large boost to Coloris collection

Score Graphicas. All of these have the worst gimmicks and punish your lifebar.
魔 - take a lot of damage for misses
闘 - the opposite of 月, lose life when the graphica appears

NIS Collection Graficas. Useless with the repeatable end game missions that can give you 10 of any NIS object you want.
機 - nevermind
煌 - nevermind

Well balanced Graphicas. Useless. Play with good graphicas instead.
神 - small meaningless boosts to 5 things
未 - small meaningless boosts to other things

So you probably only care about 電 / 愛 / 魔 / 闘 graphica. On the graphica selection screen you can use the left spinner to sort by those types. Easy. Now pick the best ones you have that don't make that game too hard for you. I skip the steep 'W' graphicas and use the smaller 'w' and curve+ ones instead.

There is no graphica that boosts critical rate. The whole point of CR is that it is your pure score out of 100%. And yeah you want default lane & curve if that's your goal. (Which is another sort option!)

----- 5/30 Append Post

I'm still getting wrecked by the Graf Hole. I made 16 pulls (in about 20 credits) and I found only 2 new graficas. I'm currently sitting at 68/93 graficas, not counting the special distribution graficas. (And all of those I either have, or could never obtain because I'm American.) However I do have 60 overloads now. So unless they make a major change to the game I'll get there in about 150 credits.

That said they did promise a major change to the game. I'm sure they'll change the Graf Hole to pull graficas from sets, like SDVX, since everything else in Museca already works like SDVX. Because right now they can't add new graficas into the Graf Hole because it would make the odds of getting anything out of it even more terrible, including whatever they'd be adding.

The last patch added a new Touhou 15 by t+pazolite and I'm very happy. It's almost as hard as Redshift! It's definitely the new second hardest song. On my sightread (with curve+) I got 84.8% and then was unable to surpass that in 3 more attempts. Right after that I got Redshift up to 84.7%, also with curve+ graficas. I think having another hard song to play helped. Also a Sound Holic song happened and Nana Takahashi is <3 so this was pretty much the best patch ever besides 3/23.

----- 6/21 Append Post

68 graphicas, 60 overloads.
75 grapficas, 75 overloads! What fantastic luck!!!!! 7 new pulls in 22 attempts!
75 graphicas, 85 overloads
75 graphicas, 100 overloads Sad

That means I'm only 80 credits away, absolute worst case. And it sure is looking that way. Half of what I'm missing is commons too.

----- 7/21 Append Post

Help!! I'm trapped inside the machine! When I was close to collecting my last grafica, storm object-kun appeared and pulled me into the monitor! I can't escape! It's dark and it doesn't look like the Museca that I recognize. All of my graficas have been reverted into lifeless rough sketches and I'm afraid I might be next. Fortunately this game is connected to the Internet, so I can still post here. Unfortunately, this forum automatically merges double posts without bumping the thread. So if you're reading this, you might be the only other Museca fan and my last hope. And if I never escape, can someone please take my e-amuse card (it should still be in R1 somewhere) and hard clear M4KE 1T B0UNC3 for me? I was so close.
