For Select Music screen, what I mean is, the placement of all images minus the headers and footers from SD mode remains the same for both SD and HD mode. You can just change the texture coordinates relative to center, not relative to left or right side.
Yes, I know how arcade looks, but I don't like it, that's the reason for making various versions, I didn't like the widescreen original versions because the items have the same spacing like if where a 4:3 ratio.

You don't need to make patches for both SD and HD versions. It IS possible to consolidate both in one theme. Think about using IsUsingWideScreen() in lua condition statements.
That's right, but there are some values in metrics.ini that change like the lifebars widths.
Also is needed patches because I don't like the arcade operator menu, I'll prefer the ps2 version but some users do like the arcade. Then to make a more customizable/enjoyable theme I think there is need to make some little patches to allow the customization. Also If someone has a better idea, I'll hear it.

If I were you, do not use any SM5 source theme metric (metric.ini). Just create custom actors and control them via lua. You won't be confused consolidating both SD and HD into one theme.

Well i was thinking on add some theme options to do this, for example to config the operator bg could add a line and use the arcade - ps2 options, also with the select music screen use arcade and fit to window options, I've seen a lot of good things with the theme specific options, but I'll need to test and check a lot to practice and make a good use of them. because I didn't know how they works, I'm more focused on essential missing things like the gampleay screen or the final results screen, but is a long and a hard time to spent because I work like a half of an hour in SM theming and not everyday. I think with the theme options feature I could make a good use of SM5 capabilities for this and future themes. I also need more practice because I'm still a noob in SM theming . I think I've chosen a hard theming project for a starter like me but well, I'll check more missing/pendant things first and then I start to read coding from others tosee if I can understand. It was too much new information for me in these months

Nothing is impossible. I'd rather have a theme run by a guy who is very devoted to learning and collaborating with others than someone who makes very good themes but rarely releases updates or downloads and doesn't focus much on contribution from others. This is what community is all about.

I agree. There's a lot of really good themes out there that never get released to the public and never get any updates. It's a shame really.

The user that uploaded that video must be a jindev/sillybear friend. Definitely Looks like his 2013 THEME.
He shares his themes only with his friends.
EDIT: He also has Sillybear's X3 theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqy7gTjTsq0

I was only saying that this theme is more complicated that I've tought initially, but is nice, I've learned and the secret parallel theme that I'm making, have a good percentage of completion thanks to this theme challenges
The lastest news:
I've removed the "loading profiles" text. And I've fixed the header of the select course mode screen.
I still have to work on the options and the footer, but I think this screen is near to completion.

How do you decide what to work on. Do you have a plan or is it purely whim?

Hmm well as a novice Themer I started changind the backgrounds of all the screens like are showed in the first posts like I'm still learning, the next thing that I've tried to do was changing graphics, because the default SM5 has a lot of code, I was messing with screens, changing things and seeing the effects of those changes, when I've finished the things that I've know how to change, I have made a general list of screens, and tried to finish the more advanced screens, and from that point i was trying to finish the theme by screens, I'll check deeper the screen components and try to modify all the things, when I've out of ideas, I'll check another advanced screen, and so. Not all screens have the same behaviour, but in a little changes, I'l try to make big changes when I have some time.
That was for this, my first theme, for the parallel theme, with the experience obtained the first thing that I have done is to remove all the things from the defaul theme that I don't need, then the first change that i like to do is change all the backgrounds for the screen (To give the impression of another theme, the BG of the screens covers a lot of the screen). And then I'll start to check for example the headers and footers of the screens, fonts, colors, etc. Shared objects to make big advances on most of the sreens, and when I'm feel fine with the basic modifications, I start to complete the screens one by one, or at least advance the most that I can to left only little things. I think to my third theme, with more experience to start changing screen by screen, is more easy to get a general vision or calcula a percentage of what is done and what left.
I think that should be enough explanation (I have wrote a big wall of text) Thanks for asking, reading and for the effort I hope to bring some good unexpected themes before this port.

Will you be adding a profile select screen similar to how the DDR X2 theme looks like?

@MadKaT if you really want to start from scratch, you should set metric.ini's fallback theme to "_fallback", not "default". This will give you a blank and clean template theme. You can just copy and paste some necessary components (lua and/or graphics) from default theme if you need to.

Maybe, I'll have to check the X2 theme code, ask for permission and rip some graphics from the X PS2 version, but I think It could be done on this theme too

Yes, I've made mi really first attempt of theme from scratch (In SM 3.9) but for a beginner i think it is more easier editing than creating from scratch, maybe on the third theme working with the default theme is interesting for me, because it has a lot of features and I've learned some things from there, I think is a good theme to study with the documentation.

I just tried the theme out today. It's looking promising so far.
It's just missing a proper profile select screen, proper DDR X scoring, proper gamemode select screens, and Difficulty selection graphics. Overall it's great so far! Keep up the good work!
