Also there is a slight typo again, as you've written Flo Fira not Flo Rida. I guess maybe listening to another song with Fire as the title may have caused you to write Fira instead. But overall it is a tremendous pack.

Also, idk if you're still doing requests, but if you are, is it possible to put SHINee's Married To The Music in? I like the song, and it came out just a couple of months ago.

When your only nearby machine that you definitely know the location of is a dodgy Euromix 1, you gotta make do.

There is a lot of really good stuff here. This is an excellent contribution to anyone's library of recent pop stepfiles for pad.

Some hopefully constructive criticism:

- "Black Magic", "Blank Space", "Heartbeat Song", "Shake It Off" slightly miscut. "One That Got Away" noticeably miscut. I mention those songs because I liked the charts enough to recut them myself... PM me if you want more details or an updated song file.

- "Shake It Off" .sm file was busted on expert. StepMania has a bug (they didn't like my bug report) which breaks the warps when saved to .sm. Not your fault, but the .sm is unplayable as is.

- Speaking of warps, some of the gimmicks reach the level of unreadability, such as the combination of warp & pause in Shake It Off. Thanks for providing the alternative .sm files!

Positives:

- I Really Like You has a lot of bounces, but they really really really really fit the music.

- Black Magic, Cheerleader, Rather Be, Shake It Off also notably good

- Cute use of _ in the title of Blank Space Smile

- Thanks for including videos in so many files, they add that extra something to the simfiles

- Great to have a lot of steps to new pop music!

I've had 2 criticisms from playtesting along with the local dancing crew these past weeks:

-Worth It has a music video/audio disconnect that fans have noticed. The prechorus you use is the second one, while the one in the video is the first. This wouldn't be a problem normally, but those prechoruses are sung by different members. Considering this pack is being pitched to pop fans, and thus has a high likelihood of being played by said groups' fans, I'd recommend fixing the video cut to reflect the audio.

-Bad Blood Challenge

is so unfair it isn't even funny. The machine I test on is one where 12s are a warmup for several players, and this 12 is flat out overkill. Say what you will about the SV charts being mocked, at least they were readable! By having such massive speedups along with the streams, the chart is flat out impossible, even if one plays at .75x. I really think going back and taking out the gimmicks and writing a legit part for the final chorus would work well; the Heavy

is rather barebones and the rest of the Challenge

is rather fun.

As for the rest of the stuff, it's all rather solid! No major complaints have really cropped up aside from those two. Hopefully there'll be new content in the future.

- I second DDR Addict's qualms with the Bad Blood Challenge

chart. The end is damn near impossible.

Is anyone else having a problem with the .mp4 video files crashing OpenITG?

every song I tried from this collection would crash right at the start. looking at what is different from previous packs I noticed that this is the only collection I've used that uses .mp4 videos. removing the mp4 files allows the tracks to play fine. I can play the .mp4 files fine in windows Media Player it just seems to be OpenITG that has a problem with them.

This crash happens on both my Win 7 Laptop as well as my Win XP tower that runs on my DDR cab.

Seems like a great pack so far from what I've been able to play but I don't know why I'm having such problems with the videos.

Otherwise you could convert the .mp4 videos into .avi or something.

NVM just downloaded and they wouldn't play, they may only work in SM5, but they didn't crash the game either. Also Bad Blood is REALLY easy, not a 12 by any stretch maybe an 8, but there are steps that keep going after the song is over in StepMania 4 playing the .SM file.

I think the videos were encoded in x264, which idk if openitg can play those back or not. SM5 can though.

OpenITG seems to have problems with h264

Using HandBrake and re-encoding the videos into MPEG-4 seems to work great though.

Also the step chart on Bad Blood is definitely messed up. the Expert chart runs on about 2 minutes past the end of the music and the video. Lower difficulties end where they're supposed to but then there's just 2 minutes of dead space at the end. Also it seems this seems to prevent you from scoring better than about 82% on lower difficulties in OITG for some reason, even if you hit every step.

^That helps but it doesn't totally fix it.
Bad blood only has 48 measures but the Challenge chart has 57 so it goes on for a while after the song ends.

Similarly Bills only has 118 measures but the challenge chart goes to 124, again it continues on after the song ends.
