You know, whenever I see posts like these, I wonder why nobody mentions the Wii U. I mean, the Wii is the system that had the last American DDR console game in the first place, so...
But that doesn't matter anyway because it's all just hopeless from here on out.

I believe the Wii U also has USB support. However, getting the pad for the console is the smallest hurdle, pretty much.

It has USB ports. Using the Gamecube - Wii U adapter and any Wii or Gamecube mat, you can play Dancing Stage With Mario without any issues.

The Wii U can play Gamecube games. It still contains all of the hardware the Wii used to run them.
It's probably the best console to play Gamecube games on, because they all run natively, and they can be played with the Wii U Pro controller.

If you don't mind using the Gamecube controllers? The Wii U Pro controller is probably the best controller on the market right now, and if it's not your thing, you can also use the Wii Classic Controlers.
Being also to force certain resolutions for Gamecube games is really nice as well. It looks a little nicer on a modern TV than the Gamecube does with component cables.

If they even decided on doing so who would buy the game? People nowadays are not interested on something like DDR. They would go for something like GTA, Call of Duty, Battlefield...

Don't you need Homebrew or something that an average person doesn't have to play GC games? I keep hearing the adapter is useless for anything but Smash without some sort of hack. If it's possible to use the adapter, that would be some dandy news. It's probably the best console to play Gamecube games on, because they all run natively, and they can be played with the Wii U Pro controller.
Konami of not-Asia and DDR's fanbase don't... ever connect. People wanted a DDR game, we got 2010 and it was... not good. Konami releases DDR II, but the fans didn't buy it (and/or their numbers dwindled too much). Konami releases Dance Wars, gets somewhat ignored because it isn't on the mat (plus... other reasons but I man loved that game). Game gets dropped, "wellp Konami has given up." Konami releases classroom edition, possibly in an attempt to kill off the rest of their fanbase...? *bricked*
On the bright side, whenever someone brings up the "what do you mean DDR is dead" topic, we can all complain in unison like a team. Whohoo.

We did. DDR II for the Wii gave us most of the stuff we missed for AC X2 for Japan and added a little extra.Post #37 · Posted at 2015-03-01 02:28:15am 9.5 years ago

But people look down on sims because it has to be the real thing, otherwise their scores aren't legit.Honestly though, I get pissed off when people look down on sims, as often it's the only option for people who don't live near arcades.

I feel that Konami needs to bring back all the Classic PS2 Versions of DDR from every version that came out from PS2 and revive it on to the Next Gen PS4 and Xbox One then also add the Xbox 360 and the PS3 Versions of DDR everything to DDR Universe to Universe 3 and the PS3 DDR Version. Then Bring back the Xbox Classic DDR Ultramix 1-4 have every Console Song on 1 disk.
They would also need to add Online Multiplayer along with leaderboard from everything to Score, Marathon Score, and Challenge Score I would definitely love that then they can either do a Daily challenge to unlock Clothing or so.
What they need to do then from there is then add every DLC that came to consoles and if they want to do it they can bring the Arcade versions and set them as DLC pack Bundles with separate songs as well, Themes, Announcers, and Dance Character, I would say they would make a lot of money for huge music fans like that if they bring this or make this into a Home Console.
if anyone Agrees with what I am trying to say lets please get this out to Konami and let them hear us out how we feel about having a DDR Arcade feel. I feel this is the time to make a Anniversary collection of all the Classics and just Revive this game.
If Rock Band and Guitar Hero is getting revived they should comeback huge and make a Game and release DDR with Every Song Ever Made. PS4 and Xbox One is capable of running games like that and I think it's Time.
So Please if anyone understands what I am trying to say Lets Please Help get this out to Konami and let them know how we feel about their Product and their DDR Franchise. If they can release a DDR Arcade with every song that came out then they should do the same with Home Consoles.
How man of you would agree with this and would buy this and the content if they went along and made the game for their fans?

I don't agree, in fact this may not work.
The reason why DDR was popular because of the features that appealed to people.
Sadly, because of the gameplay and Konami Orginals and liscenes pick couldn't save DDR now because of the new generation.
(There is a crowd that don't like anything Japanese, or forgein, or rather be hipster or one of those COD fanboys.)
You plan would only cater to hardcore fans, not the audience Konami would aim for.
There is a reason why people think DDR has gone downhill.
First of the liscenes Konami pick for US relases would cater to casual people.
(Though now people are starting to get in to dance music again...
but Konami also wants to appeal to people who use DDR to encourage kids and families to play.
(Whom like soft music, slow ones, etc)
they also tried using gimmicks to get Just Dance fans and Dance Central fans to play.
This worked for awhile helped keep DDR survive for a bit.
Another is that just because GuitarHero is coming back DOESNT mean DDR will,
there are different circumstances about why Guitar Hero is coming back and not DDR.
so yeah...
I'm just saying I don't agree with your plans and
just pointing things about why it won't.
But it be cool if we get a re-release...
(Also the liscenes have to be picked up agin but would cost money like a lot)

Just Dance and Dance Central are dominating Console rhythm/dance genre; that's why CS DDR revival is just a dream.
