So I've decided on getting the Real Edition controller (again), but i'm a bit confused on the differences between certain options, considering they're the same price, which would be ideal to choose over the others?

For Microswitches, you get these 3 options for the same price:

Omron D2MV-01-1C1 0.1N=10g
Omron D2MV-01-1C2 0.25N=25g
Omron D2MV-01-1C3 0.49N=50g

For the Spring for Sanwa Button, you get these 2 options:

OBSA-SP(20g)
OBSA-SP(60g)

Can anyone explain what the differences are, and what would be the overall best option to choose?

Ok, this is what I know
The omron's are the micro switches, and the numbers are the resistance to pressing. The larger the number, the harder it is to press, however, the smaller the number, the more it gets stuck= more maintenance.

The sanwa buttons, are the springs I think(OBSA-SP). Again, the larger the number the more resistance, but, the smaller the spring resistance DOES NOT mean the more prone to getting stuck.

From what I know, arcade specifics are between, 100-to 150g (microswitch + sanwa button). It depends on your preference though

Hope this helpsBig GrinHappy

If you want the exact same specs as an arcade machine, choose the OBSA-SP(100g) along with the Omron D2MV-01-1C3 0.49N=50g and make sure you choose sanwa buttons.

Ok, but i'm not exactly sure why the OBSA-SP 100g would cost nothing extra, but the 20g and 60g would cost an extra $8... kinda strange lol.

I think it might be because IIDX sanwas by default include the 100g springs inside of them already, but I'm not sure.

According to Akiba Shop, 100g is standard for IIDX

For my Real Edition Single, I got the Sanwa's with 100g springs and the Omron D2MV-01-1C3 0.49N=50g microswitches. It's been great so far, no issues with buttons getting stuck or misfiring. Hope you enjoy yours!
