Help Illinois get a DDR 2013 machine!

A LONG BACKGROUND STORY. TL;DR SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST
So it really is no surprise that I work at a arcade considering I have been in the arcade scene for many years. I have my own machines at this venue in particular... If you follow me on YouTube you already know where this is; Under The Big Top in St. Charles, IL.

I take very good care of the machines there. I listen to what people say about any issues and as long as its something I can fix with what I got atm the machine maintenance gets turned around very quickly. I also consider the ITG machine here to be one of the best dance game cabinets in the world... Most people that play on it say the same.

On top of the two DDR machines at Under The Big Top there are also several other music games. Technika 3 (connected to Programmed Crew), drummania V8, GuitarFreaks V3 (I have the V8 kit on hand to session), beatmania THE FINAL, ParaParaParadise and the only ez2dj in North America.

Last year I was lucky enough to be able to get my hands on a SuperNOVA2 kit and I upgraded the SuperNOVA machine to something newer. Unfortunately this came at a very bad time as a month later we got offered a DDR X kit. The owners decided to pass even with many players supporting the DDR machines at Under The Big Top at the time. The owners didn't seem to get why this kit was so important and instead of pressing the matter further I had to drop the subject entirely.

Ever since that happened I was kicking myself for not trying to find another solution to getting a kit for Under The Big Top. But just this month a friend of mine got a DDR 2013 kit. Instead of keeping it at his house he has offered to put it at Under The Big Top (what a awesome guy!). The owners weren't up to this idea at all when the kit was first offered to me in late 2013 so now it's time to really show them there is a audience and that people are starving to play something new.

If things go smoothly next week with negotiations we will have the kit installed by the end of April. We are planning to have the machine running at 75cents for 4 songs.

I support as well. I live about an hour from St. Charles and I pass by on my way to/from college. This would be a really nice addition.

Are four song sets even possible in 2013? I'd think increasing the number of songs per set would totally break the Extra stage unlock system.

Yes, the stage amount goes to 5 in all DDR games. That is also why the Extra Stage system is really stupid on the newer X series of games.

And yes, if you support us getting a kit and you are not in the area go ahead and hit the like button anyways. We will play off the rule "if I was in the area I would definitely stop by to play it" ;)

Definitely not within the area, but I support this. Arcades in North America desperately need a jolt and this I think certainly helps in that department. Especially with the online component (I assume this will be on PW?) which opens up a whole bunch of features.

It's possible. And it only makes getting ES easier so yeah, IMO it's better than having to AA FC/AAA every song every credit if you want to get ES. Only applies to X3/2013 though since X still follows SN2's requirement and X2 requires AA on every stage.

But anyway, supported.
