Please don't buy off coinopexpress. You cet cabs off certain people for less than half the price.

I think that Venny is referring to the marketplace that sells upgrade kits at much lower prices compared to CoinOpExpress. SuperNOVA was US$1,595 at CoinOp, but the marketplace has them for US$1,000 each at most. With price negotiations, they can be had for much less. I was pondering SN from CoinOp, but it was out of stock before I've paid. Their Extreme is also steeply priced at US$1,350. The private market often sells them for US$300 at most. I'm glad I found private buyers, who sell discount Extreme cabs.CoinOpExpress might still be good for harder-to-find games such as GuitarFreaks, PercussionFreaks and legacy Pump It Up. I'm not too familiar with how the other ones like beatmania and Pop'n work. I would appreciate if people showed me how these games work.

KKIONI and I are in the process of forming a music games (mainly DDR) student club at Algonquin. If anyone is interested, please PM. Even if you're not an Algonquin student, there should very well be the possibility that you can play on campus.
I will significantly change Dance Dance North some time soon. Given that Cineplex currently does not have a gamer-focused vision, no matter how much they push initiatives like WorldGaming or Xscape, I plan to make a final commentary about them before moving on. The Rec Room has been updated with more detail, but nothing about DDR is mentioned. Cineplex is slow on updating its sites, posting press releases, having a friendly relationship with gamers and so forth. I still think it's important to make a case with them. They are national. Saskatoon and other small cities have dance games, but in terrible shape.
The main goal with Dance Dance North will be to properly maintain and promote the dance machine I have. I am very flexible in terms of running other mixes on it: 3rdMix Plus, 5thMix and 7thMix are some I have in mind. What are your favourite mixes?

Tomorrow (October 12, 2016) around lunch time, I will be testing out my machine for DDR SuperNOVA 2 compatibility! If you'd like to take it for a test too, please send me a PM! I'll be updating Dance Dance North and DDRX.ca with more info about the club.
Although not specific to Canada, I put together an In The Groove megamix! All 71 playable songs are there, though audio is drowned out on two of the tracks to prevent a worldwide ban.
Today from 10h to 15h, DDR Extreme will be on free play at Algonquin College! CS 5thMix and DDR Wii will also be on display.
I already have half of the minimum 14 other students required that signed up for the Dance Dance North (music games) club. The "Video Games Club" at Algonquin is actually a fighting game club, so it makes sense to have a music games club too. :-)

I have a DrumMania V3 PCB, which is a Python 2. However, I don't have a cabinet and I don't plan to get one any time soon. I plan to take out the V3 dongle and hard drive and replace them with a DDR SuperNOVA 2 SSD. If the DDR arcade machine turns out to be popular, I may consider other machines. In the meantime, I will have games like Donkey Konga and Rock Band to compliment DDR. I will also have CS 5thMix.Post #68 · Posted at 2016-12-06 12:04:17am 7.3 years ago
DDR A is here, they're having network issues so it's running offline at the moment. This usually happens with new locations getting it. There's also a brand spanking new Pump It Up Prime TX machine, goodbye Playdium. Also offline however they will work on it once the DDR A issues are resolved.
eAmusement passes are currently out of stock, they are waiting on their batch.

@Venny
Thanks for the info, I updated the location. I'll probably pay this place a visit once this week just to see how things are before everything goes online.

I visited the location today. It was nice. It'll only be a matter of time before everything is set up, I believe. As for right now, my chances of making it on Saturday are slim. Let me know how things go!

I've updated DanceDanceRevolution.ca (short URL: DDRX.ca) to list the new DDR A location, as well as list various other machines in excellent (X2, USA) or various (SuperNOVA, Extreme) condition. The site is bilingual; please feel free to click "Français" (or visit DanceDanceRevolution.ca/Bienvenue) to see the French page. The latter still needs work as far as links are concerned. Also, in French, I use the less generous "pêle-mêle" (roughly "mixed bag") term. A lot of this has to do with how Cineplex maintains some of its games but neglects many others. The Prairies are particularly bad. Cineplex, if you're reading this, prove that you care about gaming!
I hope you enjoy this new title page! If so, please let me know! Icons for games other than DDR A can be clicked.
I have a very nice surprise planned for the DDR community by the end of this year! I hope you stay around! (I cross-posted this.)

Vancouver anyone?
There aren't really any good arcades here... there are some stock song jubeat copious and groove coaster ex what not, but really nothing good. The arcades are too lazy to fix or upgrade anything as well so that's a pain.
All I'm hoping for is a maimai cabinet someday

Surprisingly, Vancouver actually has the best music game selection in Canada, however there are barely any players. The biggest reasons for this are lack of maintenance and lack of updates. Vancouver has never had Programmed World and whoever runs the place there doesn't seem to care about staying current with games, so people get bored and leave. MaiMai would be difficult, but not impossible to get, but I fear the cabinets would be ignored and be run into the ground. There aren't really any good arcades here... there are some stock song jubeat copious and groove coaster ex what not, but really nothing good. 2 CABS 0 KAIDEN
Well to be specific:
Two jubeat stock song copious with one that has sensoring problems.
A Japan taiko 14 that runs okay.
A stock song groove coaster ex.
A iidx sirius with a complete green screen and a iidx 5th mix with button problems.
Popn something, with a button problem.
Reflec beat limelight stock songs with a touch screen problem.
Even if there was any, only a few you could play without ripping your hair out.
I mean, sega does have motions in coming into north america. After the d&b loctest, maimai is in Round1 doing another loctest. Different than other rhythm games, maimai seems more welcoming? I guess?
The people who run the arcades now really don't give a fudge about the machines anymore... so getting a cabinet with updates or even fixed could be hard :/

Anyone who has been to the Rec Room in Edmonton? Just wondering if any other music games cabs are available there. I'm wishing for maimai, taiko, and other bemani games (sdvx, jbt, etc.) specifically...

"Sleep cancelled due to COVID-19." |
I didn't see anyone mention it, so I'll say it here:
The Scarborough Town Centre has an ITG 2 machine that's kept in relatively good quality (all 8 arrow pads work, but the left menu button on both sides does not).
It's functional enough that I was able to beat Monolith Challenge (also, if you're new to ITG: don't play Monolith), and someone had a score on Vertex^2, if I recall correctly.
