Um.... there are no In The Groove 3 cabinets, because ITG3 was never actually released. You're also not going to find a machine for $950. You do still have a few options, though....

- This one is probably way out of your price range, but I have seen ITG2 dedicabs pop up on eBay before. They'll be in the Collectibles section, under Arcade, Jukeboxes and Pinball. The best thing about these is that you don't really have to do anything with them, they have ITG on them right out of the box. This is by far the most expensive option, though.

- In that same section on eBay, DDR cabs show up pretty often. The condition and pricing on these can be wildly inconsistent, but if you know how to fix arcade machines, you can solve any sort of problem on your own. With these, you can either install an ITG conversion kit, or put a computer in it with the program OpenITG on it. Both will work pretty much the same way, except I don't think the lights will work if you're using the computer method. The computer method is much less expensive. Either way you do it, you can find installation guides on the internet pretty easily.

- If you don't want to drop massive amounts of money on a machine, you could always build your own home pad. Sure, it probably won't be as glamorous as an actual machine, but building a home pad modeled after an arcade pad isn't impossible. Again, there are guides on how to do this on the internet. This is the least expensive option, by far.

I think your best bet is looking for a DDR machine fixing it up and using a computer with OpenITG on it, since ITG conversion kits go for over a grand.

Once on a blue moon a fairly priced machine may appear so CHECK EBAY DAILY!!!!! I got my DDR machine for $800 but the machine needed a lot of work like most that are in this price range. More then likely many sensors among other parts will need to be replaced, the machine will need to be cleaned, and the handle bars may need to be resoldered .

If you do get a conversion kit, basic knowledge of the linux OS will be needed for adding songs etc. For a computer setup a Jpac or minimaid are recommended since they are easy to setup. If you want the lights to work along with the buttons then you should get a minimaid(I ordered mine from RyogAkari at bemanistyle), a Jpac does not support the lights. (both are good timing wise and are good for holds)

For Usb function an official ITG computer is needed, there is a way to get the songs to load from a usb on a normal computer but the records won't save.

In my opinion the DDR cab's speakers are good quality. The TV in DDR cabs are 640x280p (not sure) and to display on them a program called soft15khz is needed. What I did was disconnect the TV in the machine and connect my computer to an external TV I already had since soft15khz is a little finicky.

Overall I have spent about $1,500 on my machine. For a fix up machine I would hesitate going over 1 grand.

Aside from the fact that there's literally only one ITG3 cab in existence AFAIK (and no the owner is probably never gonna sell it), most of these prerequisites are probably not gonna be met unless you buy one and fix it up yourself (at least not for dirt cheap).

For a dedicab that's way too low (they go upwards to $6k sometimes). Even if you found a ddr machine somewhere for that price unless it's in your area shipping is gonna murder you another $500-$1k; fixing it up will probably take more depending on what needs fixing (dead sensors, moniter issues, etc).

I mean, not to be a buzzkill but this isn't exactly something you can wish for on christmas as a present; it's kind of a big investment.
