I've managed to earn 3,000,000 personal points, which I should not have done; I should have stuck to my original plan that I documented in my previous post.

I should have left it at the 2,500,000 level......but I decided to jump the gun and spend 21 PREMIUM TICKETS like a dumbass to bump up my score from 2,800,000+ to 3,000,000. By doing this, I took a total net loss of 1 PREMIUM TICKET! >_<

OUTCOME WITH 21 PREMIUM TICKETS USED TO GET 3,000,000 score points:

I used over 310 FREE TICKETS in this event with 21 PREMIUM TICKETS being used to barely hit the 3,000,000 score points mark in the last few minutes of the event. Well, on the bright side, I got a load of Support Points and Link Energy as well as the two new event songs.

News confirm a maintenance on 17/12 beginning at 10:30 until 14:30 (Japan Timezone). Songs from #1 (Wanna Be Your Special) to #50 (Z[i]) will suffer a change on its difficulty levels,

Update: Player's RPs weren't affected.

As an addition, A×E×U×G -act.1- and Rebellion will have a certain change regarding their Support Points rewards under their respective Unlock Challenge conditions/goals. It seems the core requirements for those songs's ULCs won't change, the adjustment will just affect the amount of SPT earned (Goodbye Huge SPT Farming?).

Finally, as a reminder, during Mantenance period server will be down and CxB won't be available for any kind of gameplay during the aforementioned time (japanese timezone).

Post-maintenance Update: I gave it a try to Wanna Be Your Special (formerly Lv. 34 on Master. Now Lv. 40). It has the same total amount of taps (230) but the distribution and type of taps are different (just in place, not in rhythm). Songs like ロマンシングゲーム have their REV difficulty level now (with chart untouched I assume).

I have never been turned off to a song as fast as I was when I tried to play Soda Machine's MAS chart.

Kind of sad they are only messing with the ratings of the first 50 songs as there are some newer songs that have terrible difficulty ratings for a few of their charts.

Sidenote: failing an ultimate clear on the last measure of a song is the worst feeling ever.

Maintenance finished and just a few minutes until Event starts.

Interesting changes. Player RP is untouched, but with new levels players can achieve new RPs scores when play songs with Ultimate mode (my RP on Wanna Be Your Special rose from 40.xx to 47.xx). More info on my post above.

UPDATE: Just tried Freak with Me and WOW!!!! AMAZING!! I wanna try Cross+Angel too, but for now, I'll focus on the event.

Ratings are still botched all over though. Anomie's new MASTER chart isnt't even close to being a 61.

I am suspecting the changes in the charts aren't actually "changing", as in Capcom move the chart difficulties level to match that with the arcade version. So in short, the old Master chart could perhaps ended up as Hard chart and we no longer able to access the old Standard chart.... Just my guess since I have not played any of those new charts or hard charts yet.

Some of the charts are completely original and some are minor changes to rating wise.

Wanna Be Your Special changed in format slightly but most of the chart is the same. Just some added doubles.
Otherside got rid of a few BS stamina changes. Added a cool new pattern.
Another Chance got fucking ridiculous.
A lot of the charts with multiple notes in the same area have a new fan effect towards it. Similar to some charts in REV and some other songs like Moonrise, Bi-Zom Zom Zombi.
Z[i] hard actually is legitimately hard.


It's a really positive change and brings some balance to the older songs so they'll be more in line with the difficulty of the newer songs. I do not expect this to be the last time they do this.

Oh man, this Christmas Cup is killing me! I just finished having my most intense team battle ever tonight (SECTION 2)! My team started out being ahead, then we fell behind, then we got ahead again, and then on the last day (tonight), they (2 rival players from the rival team) unexpectedly caught up from a difference of over 600,000 points...when they caught up and nearly matched my team's score in less than 30 minutes, one of my active teammates (the other two stopped playing earlier today) started retaliating non-stop and managed to save us from being over overtaken at around 11:30PM. I watched nervously as the events unfolded desperately awaiting my FREE TICKET regeneration to increase to at least 4/10 before I decided to go out of my way to spend my precious PREMIUM TICKETS (1 PT + 4 FT to play). The poor guy was taking on two rivals at once, and they ALL were using PREMIUM TICKETS like there's no tomorrow.

OK, next, one of the two active rivals suddenly stopped playing while the other kept playing nonstop against my active teammate, so that gave my teammate enough leverage (with our higher score) to stay ahead of the enemy. At ~11:38PM, a FREE TICKET regenerated, thus giving me 4/10 FREE TICKETS, and only required me to spend one PREMIUM TICKET if I wanted to get an additional play in, but if I waited an extra 20min, I could regenerate one more FREE TICKET to have 5/10, which would have been enough to play once without spending any PREMIUM TICKETS, so I decided to wait since it seemed like we were at an advantage (at this point, my team was around 200,000 points ahead).

At 11:50PM, the 2nd rival player re-appeared and began playing again nonstop, bringing their score even closer to my team's one man army!! Startled, I said "fuck it" and used my 4 FT + 1 PT to play Bi-Zon Zon Zombi (MASTER) nonstop FOUR times in a row, each time scoring 50,000+ on the song + x1.5 bonus EXCEPT for the last run, which didn't count because it had already hit 11:59PM while I was still playing the song...I finished the song at 12:00AM with over 51,000 score (too late).

I was very nervous and shaking each time, and I never took the time to look back at the Event section to compare my team VS rival scores. Last figures I saw was the rival team's score around 10,000 points away from my team's score (6,900,000+), AND the last event point increase that I contributed to my team, which was a little over 7,100,000 total......it is unclear whether my other active teammate continued to play or stopped playing seeing as he thought he may have been alone in the last 10 minutes of battle. It is unclear, but I hope that he valiantly continued to play despite the odds of going against two rivals at the same time. Last I remember, I contributed my final event points at 11:58PM, so being that the song is around 2 minutes long, it is possible that I was the one who got the last event point entry before 11:59PM.



...so, given the circumstances, if my active teammate stopped playing after I stepped in near the time limit, then I doubt that we won, but if he continued to play until the very end, then I believe that we have a chance of being declared the winner. After the time limit was reached, I could not see any team data in the Event area, as it's being calculated now.....so it's all speculation now. My fingers are CROSSed; this battle is going to be close as hell!!


That one teammate and I contributed the most in this SECTION of the current event. He very well may have used over 100 PREMIUM TICKETS in this section alone while I used 120+ FREE TICKETS + 16 PREMIUM TICKETS (5 of them being fruitless). I guess we'll find out the winner tomorrow morning...I have doubts that we've won though; that rival team was very aggressive.

Seriously annoyed right now as I was the only one on my team trying to keep us ahead the entire 2nd round and lost it due to an end-of-round surge that happened while I was asleep.
All my teammates have sub-200000 points each while I had to try to carry with 1200000 points.
Makes me wonder why I bothered spending all those premium tickets I was saving for Ransai.

Unfortunately, I also have bad news...the results are in, and our team lost 7.2M to 7.3M. This score also shows that my active teammate had played to the very end, had I opted in just a few minutes earlier, we two could have won this battle...I feel kind of sorry for him with his valiant efforts being in vain. Let's hope that our next rivals aren't as formidable for SECTION 3.

Random Select Festival starts from December 26th until January 4th.

Also, the first line on RSF News suggests Senpai Slam won't be the only new music added to the game this time. It seems there is at least one extra track. Hope someone else can provide more info about this. (It marks December 31st as a certain "special" date).

This game uses the most effective money-making scheme out of all mobile games I've ever played in my life; I've never been so at odds....I usually resist spending money on mobile IAP, but the psychology of it all in THIS game has swayed even me! I'll try to make this my last splurge on this game...getting 777 tickets now...

Question: Is this really worth spending money on?

Given how asininely low drop-rates are, I'm heavily inclined to lean in the direction of "nope."

The last time I bothered taking an RSF seriously, I dumped 1500+ PT, and only saw two yellow ULCs for A × E × U × G -act.1- and someday -see you again-. Some simple math shows that coming out to a drop rate of ~0.006%...

It would be one thing if you were guaranteed a higher and higher chance of a payout every 'x' amount of tickets spent, but I digress.
