NOTE: I am not the owner of the spreadsheet I am about to post the link to. However, 1 of the 2 owners did give me permission to share it to other people.

This spreadsheet lets you calculate the Groove Radar values for your own edits! If you don't know how to calculate Groove Radar values & want to partake in this spreadsheet, you're in luck because there are links to articles on how to calculate each one. (Hint of advice: Don't start by calculating Chaos values. Those are too confusing.)

So far, the only people that have contributed are me & the 2 owners of the spreadsheet.

(As I said earlier, I don't own the spreadsheet; I was just granted permission to share it with other people.)

"Indeed *sips tea*"
- Fix your link to the groove radar wikia page. It's http://dancedancerevolutionddr.wikia.com/wiki/Stream_%28Groove_Radar%29 and you have an extra parentheses at the end.
- What needs to be stated is where the calculation formulas come from. DDRMAX has a different groove radar calculator than Supernova's for instance.
- While it may be nice to be able to manually calculate your own groove radar values, Stepmania already has a built-in calculator that automatically recalculates your values when you start it up. I've only used Stepmania 3.9 and 3.95, but in both versions the groove radar calculator is built in and the values you enter in the .sm file are therefore useless.

What I really would like to know is how to make the groove radar accept manually entered values straight from the .sm file code rather than have the game automatically recalculate it again no matter what. Another useful thing to know would be how to accept groove radar values over 1.000; is there a way to make no groove radar limit? It only takes a 150 bpm 16th stream to get 100% voltage on Stepmania 3.9's groove radar calculator and any higher speeds will have that same 1.000 value.

* Stream: If more hard to obtain Full Combo, higher is the value.
* Voltage: Higher BPM or higher arrows/sec, higher value.
* Air: Jumps, Hands, Quads and Mines/Shock Arrows affects this value.
* Frezze: Frezze arrows and Rolls and their lenght affects this value.
* Chaos: non 1/4 notes, stops and speed changes affects this value.

bump: I'm reviving this thread because I was the one who came up with the idea in the first place. I told _|/-43D to ask people about it here because I didn't have an account.

I don't think this idea was given a fair enough chance. I had intended for it to be more like "this is the Groove Radar Value it would have on DDR 2013 (or X3 or any other AC release SN2 or later)" for those who were curious about how the Groove Radar works (because I'm sure many people don't really know how it works and would be interested in learning). The only sources I had found were in Japanese so I took Google Translate and slowly tried to make sense of the system. It took me a few days to understand everything and put it into an article that English-speaking people could understand.

So if you want to know how it works, please do take a look at the spreadsheet. If you're interested, reply back on this message or PM me so I can add you as an editor.

Thanks!

EDIT:
Oh, and I think this should have been put in the DanceDanceRevolution category rather than Simulation, since this was intended to be applied to DDR AC releases.

EDIT 2: If anything is unclear in the articles you can comment on the page or PM me as well.

EDIT 3 Better link!
