Awesome, thank you for the update. I'm glad to hear the IIDX Happy Sky machine is at least kept in good condition.

I wonder what's going to become of the machines in Disney Quest once they close? If Player 1, D&B, or somewhere close could acquire a couple, that'd be sweet. ReRave/ReRave Plus especially

That would be nice to see D&B get their DDR X2 machine so they could have two of them and fix up the Disney Quest one. Those pads were extremely terrible. I really hope Disney doesn't just throw them away. They most likely will sell them hopefully.

Also, I've never heard of Player 1 and I don't see it on Ziv. Is it a new arcade? Is it any good? I'd like to know please! Thanks.

There's no music games there but there are a ton of retro arcade games. It's a craft beer bar/arcade. They have consoles spanning at least 2 decades all set up and free to play, probably 20-30 arcade machines all in great condition, and they usually have a DJ playing music. Just $5 to get in.

My only concern if they, hypothetically, get the ReRave machine(s), is that it's usually quite loud in there and very packed tight. It would be hard to squeeze in a machine of that size and it would be very hard to hear what you're playing.

Ah I see. It does look like a pretty sick arcade.

As far as them getting rhythm games in there, it may be a struggle.

If it's true that it's really loud and crowded in a small arcade environment, then yeah music games would be a pain to play in there. They could probably get some smaller music games in there like Jubeat, Reflec Beat, and a few others. The cabs for those games are pretty small.

If the arcade is really that small, dance games and other rhythm games with huge cabs are out of the question.

UPDATE:

Three to four months ago (around that time frame) I got a message from one of the techs that works at Beach Fun and Games to see how they could upgrade their IIDX HAPPY SKY to a newer version. I responded back but I never got word from him.

A few months later I call the place to ask for him, they told me that they would give him my contact info and call me back.

ANOTHER month passes, he finally calls me.

I dropped him some information (and a friend's contact info) on how to do get the process started.

It will most likely be Resort Anthem. I'll be sure to post if they made the upgrade, and once they do I will definitely take a day trip (maybe beach trip) to go down there and play

IIDX Resort Anthem would really fit the theme of the arcade. Plus, it would give us new songs to play.

They have unplugged and taken away the power cable for DDR Supernova 2 at I-Drive NASCAR Kart Racing. Not a good sign.

Rebounderz has re-branded to Outer Limitz. ITG2 is now on full-time (usually when I'm there, they have to come and turn it on for me), and is now 75 cents per play. (Which means it's 38 cents per play if you buy the $20 or $50 credit deals.)

Good news: Epic McD (the official name of the rebuilt "World's Largest" McDonald's) opened THIS MORNING!

Bad news: PIU did NOT return. Almost all the games upstairs are redemption games now.

Not surprised to be quite honest.

Now, I've been hearing around that Disnye Quest has yet to close down it's doirs due to some disagreements with Disney and the NBA(?), so DQ might still be alive somewhat? Any word on that/qn update?

I hope Disney Quest stays in business. They have a lot of great games. I just hope they fix their DDR X2 cab or get DDR 2014. The DDR X2 cab their is really bad sadly, but the Pump it Up 2013 cab is in great condition.

With the release of DanceDanceRevolution A, Dave & Buster's confirmed that it will be coming to Orlando and NOT DanceDanceRevolution 2014. It will come this summer as previously planned, but DDR 2014 will not be coming to the US. Instead, we'll be getting DDR A.

I don't know about you, but I'm really excited.

Oh yeah, forgot to post it on this thread but Tampa just got a new BEMANI machine...



Hopefully more machines will be popping up, some that aren't your typical DDR/PIU machines ;)

I've always wanted to try FutureTomTom (there are 4 songs sung by Alt in there! ), and I'm so glad to see it's in America for the first time! Maybe I'll have to vacation out to Tampa to finally fulfill my wish!

The thing about this arcade...

It's inside a privately owned home :x

But the owner is pretty chill so long as you don't mess with the machines lol. He usually has weekly meet-ups at his house to play Open In The Groove and now this game every Sundays/Saturdays, so if you happen to be in Tampa during those days, hit me up. He loves to have people over ;)

Also DDR Storm is close to a month away, for those that have no idea what DDR Storm is about, watch these two videos to give you an idea what makes DDR Storm such an amazing event not just for dance game rhythm players, but for basically any and all rhythm gamers alike

This year the event will be at a new location, twice as big as the previous venue with over 10+ dance game machines confirmed AND MORE!

This is one event I HIGHLY recommend to those living in Florida to attend, it is probably the biggest tournament/party/vacation weekend every summer. So come on out to Storm and play!

After this event, the next event that will have a 'big' BEMANI presence is MetroCon in Tampa. More details about that soon to come.

I would like to as well but al those people are WAAAYYY better than me.

Like I love playing DDR but I feel like I'd be an outsider cause I couldn't compete.

I feel the same way. I'm not amazing at DDR are either. The best I can do are DDR 14s and ITG 8s. Even so, I wouldn't feel totally left out because everyone there loves dance games. It'd be a great experience regardless of everyone's skill level. I'll definitely have to plan this trip out.
