from any of the following:
- gameplay lineout recording from REFLEC BEAT, jubeat, Sound Voltex (no effect), pop'n music (no keysound)
- any BEMANI game album OST
- ripped directly from the games mentioned above

Kind of random, but does anyone happen to have clean audio for Starlight Fantasia (the original one), then?

Starlight Fantasia appears only in DDR, so there is no clean audio yet.

I think the 16th trill is literally the only thing making this a 12. It's really more of a 10/easy 11.
I really like the song and chart though. Easy enough to possibly PFC on a sightread. Also pretty fun to ghost play it (like actually ghost playing it without a mat).

Even with that 16th the song is overrated as f-, i agree with you with the 10/11 but well ... I dont believe in these ratings post RDI anymore
Note aside, i saw the first chapter of this anime (pretty fun btw) and the curious thing: Asaki and 96 are credited in the opening

What is it with Konami overrating songs as of late? TSUBASA is not 14 and はなまるぴっぴはよいこだけ is no 12 (an 11 at its highest and even then a very easy 11). Also can't say I'm the biggest fan of はなまるぴっぴはよいこだけ's chart. I really don't know what it's going with and feels rushed.

Agree. TSUBASA's Double charts (all of them) were the first to be rerated just days after they were released, and I find it funny that the ratings were more agreeable before they went up.As for other charts released lately, I find them to be quite questionable at times. 激アツ☆マジヤバ☆チアガール S- for example, looks fun to play, but I felt that the 16ths were just thrown in there without a real reason. You don't even see them at all on the Double chart.

I think the 16ths are supposed to be the bass in the background but they're not quite synchronized to that properly. At all. The rest of the stepchart is an understepped mess funny enough. They could have easily pushed it to be an actual 13 if they really wanted to, but they decided to make it like a hard 11 with random 16ths at one part and call it a 13. I really don't understand how they went from horrible understepping to horrible overstepping to a mix of both now. Ska a Go Go standard did it before it was cool.Post #7594 · Posted at 2015-10-06 01:30:32pm 8.5 years ago

The chart feels very EXTREME, and that's not a good thing. Sort of follows the song, mostly just makes it up, and doesn't seem very inspired. Seems like their chart writer team totally switched after RDi, and now we just get a trickle of less well-stepped content. KONAMI plz.

Personally, I felt that we had great stepcharts and not-so-great stepcharts in every release, and I'd still take the content we get now than some of the nonsense they put out way back when (especially in SN2). KONAMI probably gets new people to write stuff more often than any of us realize. Although I wasn't there at the time, I read through old posts where people talked about how junk the stepcharts were up until X, and people were so happy about many charts in X2. Even last year, when DDR 2014 came out with tons of U.M.U. content, I really wonder how many of us thought they were truly amazing. I thought those were pretty good in general, but not totally memorable. Most of us only really waited out for more great KOs and we sure got a great handful especially in July-August 2014. TL;DR: I just think we can keep an open mind and not take every good stepchart we got for granted. Maybe we should just wait and see if these chart writers put out great stuff again. What do you say? Shall we?

Anything is still better than Hinabitter. Still as to confused as to why Make a Jam still hasnt been revived yet or Look to the Sky. Yet UMU is still in DDR even though prop and Volzza is removing them.

U.M.U was removed from the North American loctest. Hopefully that's a sign of something to come.

Not only Make a Jam and Look to the sky, but also Midnite Blaze, Do it right and On the Jazz, but i suppose these songs aren't revived because the vocal license expiration or something similar. And speaking of the crappy U.M.U stuff, bemani also removed on jubeat prop, so i believe DDR is the only machine who have it.
Speaking about the charts and their rates, i believe they are experimenting with new stuff ... maybe in the """new DDR""" they gonna re-rate some songs because of the differences between the chats, or maybe don't

Except they re-rated TSUBASA doubles of all things (and nothing else), and the re-ratings were purely unnecessary, at least in my opinion. As far as I know they didn't even fix any wrong ratings from the older mixes at all when the new game was released. I just hope they don't change rating standards for all the new songs only (similar to what they did in SN2 with those freakishly hard 9 footers) because that creates a mess that we know all too well. And if that makes them invent yet another DDR scale... well... great?Regarding the charts themselves, I don't think they tried anything we haven't seen before, but please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Why do so many people in this thread hate the Hinabita songs we've been getting for DDR? I personally love them and think they're really great songs, the charts also seem very fun to play so I'm not understanding why they're getting so much hate from you guys.
