Yeah, that's probably the purpose. Still wouldn't do it if I'm trying to PFC though.

If you look closely enough at the video, he took his foot off of the hold panel and pressed the up arrow panel at the tme he failed, then returned to the hold panel. It sucks that he failed, but that was kinda dumb on his part. If he left his foot on the panel even while tapping the way he did, he most likely wouldn't have failed on that hold.

If that was his first time playing BDP he probably would have failed on the next three steps no matter what. That's not to say he isn't good, just it is hard when you don't know the next three steps because of the speed gimmick. Too bad he didn't fail a half second later so we would know the next three steps, now all we know is the first one is a left arrow. So the chance is high next time someone makes it there, they will fail as well but hopefully reveal enough info so the next person may clear that section. Which at that point will only ensure making it to the next speed up and failing unless they drop their speed options considerably.

Damn. So complicated. Also, I wonder how he cleared max period, most likely wave.

yeah, max period BDP/DDP is pretty AAable with WAVE imo.

IDK, unless you know the chart/timing by heart, it's easy to get a string of Greats/Goods that could ruin your score, since Wave makes it harder to tell whether you're early or late on each step. [Then again, I'm not paying extra money to enable the Fast/Slow feature, so maybe it's just me; I still can't AA anything with Wave on a consistent basis.]

I'll stick with x1.25 and hope for the best.

admittedly, yes, even if you know the timing it's still easy to string perfects and greats with wave, even with FAST/SLOW on. but with enough practice it's possible. PFCing is still possible even with wave though.

What do you expect for a starting WIDE-event song?? repeat... WIDE, the song must to be a little difficult, or less easy (redundance).

It's a good song, a little emphasized to GITADORA and RB, whatever, the steps reminds me a little to "Flourish", and the BGM, so "Freeway Shuffle", idk.
