Hell, I got a bunch of money in the bank. If I actually had the time, I'd probably just go on vacation and go down to PHM just to play if it means helping support it. Problem is that it's a number of miles away that's got 4 digits.

I really wish I could go to this location test as well, but I'm all the way across the country from where it's being held... and sort of can't travel...
I'll just hope that it does well enough that Konami decides to bring DDR as a whole back to the US and that a Round 1 location opens near me.
And please... anyone who DOES have the opportunity to go to the location test, please make sure to support this. We're lucky enough that Konami's decided to at least try a location test here in the US. The most that people can do is play the hell out of it during it.

I meant my statement about supporting and playing the game specifically for the people planning to attend and in response to a previous comment about buying food and playing other games. Of course you should do that too, but if you're attending the test please bear in mind that DDR is specifically what Konami and Round 1 are going to be paying attention to.

Regarding my last post, the reason I won't travel 30 minutes to Round 1 is because I don't have my driver's license yet. Why should my parents drive me someplace half an hour away just for my personal amusement?

It's a half an hour drive for me to get the the Moreno Valley location as well while it's an hour and 5 minutes for the R1 with the DDR location test; anyone who's able to make the drive should head on over there and prove Konami that North America is still a lucrative market for music games. Who knows? Maybe they'll even consider making a localized version of IIDX and SDVX as well if we're lucky enough.

What my question is...
How much modifications they made to the cabinet if it's one of those white ones? The bright colors will probably attract wandering eyes, though given how stark of a contrast the X/X2/X3 cabs were compared to what we got, I wouldn't be surprised if they've cut corners again this time.

There isn't much to cut out of a white cabinet. There are no lights in the foot panels and no LED towers to get rid of..

Doubt it Cause thats modified to run on Programmed World.

@Quickman I don't believe there's a train station in Bloomingdale, IL. There aren't a lot of buses in the Chicago suburbs these days, and I don't know any bus routes.

Yay! A location test thats like thousands of miles away from me! ;3 but in all seriousness, this is good news. But it's sad konami doesnt wanna renew liscenes to the songs that will be removed. Tbh there may be some sort of complication that prevent them renewing those songs.

It's because - Captain Jack aside - none of those songs are songs that people will actively seek out, none of them can be considered 'classics' that people who played the older mixes will come back for in the newer ones.

Okay playfulness aside, Why remove Captain jack? That was one of the main DDR Songs next to Boom Boom Dollar And Butterfly.
We still have BOTH of those songs inside the game even B4U and Brilliant2u. Pretty Surprised Konmai Made this move. (If its a Licensing issue then that's understandable and Konmai cant control that.)
