I want the DDR characters to use their DanceEvolution routines for songs that appeared in DanceEvolution like Hysteria 2001 and whatnot (sans songs with dedicated background videos like for example SAKURA).

Not really, it's like wanting dedicated dance routines from the HP series to be used for songs that have them (ex. A Brighter Day).
I believe they have started doing this again, but I can't really tell since I've only seen escape and the routine for that is also a generic one. The video I watched has a bad camera angle at the end.
Edit: Nah. it's just coincidence that it's the same routine. Other routines can be chosen, it starts too early, and it's not the full routine anyway.

Off the top of my head, the only other song I've seen to have its console dance routine is LOVING YOU (Epidemik Remix) and that was back in X. There are probably more recent songs to have them but that's the only one I've played personally.

will and INTO YOUR HEART also have their routines from the HP series in X.
Dance Celebration, its remix, Inspiration, Taj He Spitz remix, Dream Machine, Dance Floor, and Butterfly also have routines. However, there have been no new ones or console ones since X.
