I suspect that they are the same. DDRMAX USA takes scripts from DDRMAX2, and There You'll Be's DDR Extreme Script is used for Logical Dash. Meanwhile, It's Raining Men's script from DDRMAX2 is used for I'm For Real and Baby Gimme Your Love.

Kaliedoscope8r is embedded in Kaliedoscope8 itself. The video should be synced to the music for the reverse half to line up with beat 122.

Back in 2014, I found a way to convert Xbox video files into .avi. It seems I've forgetten how to but I'll do my best to remember. I'll let you know if I can get around to something.

Also, thanks to everyone of the amazing work.

EDIT: Nevermind. I remember now. Let me know if you still need that movie.

Yes. I'd love to have the video, and any other randommovies that appear in the XBox movie directory that have not yet been ripped. With the nature of movies like these...

Then it's highly likely there are more unused clips hiding in the directory.

Sure thing, which format would be okay? I realized I can convert to any format. I'm planning on converting all movie files from Ultramix. You may find something else you were looking for (plus, playing .xmv videos is a pain so checking for specific files is not that helpful).

Converted to H.264 .avi. In short, the .xmv files had the same resolution, frame rate and compression artifacts as the ripped AC movies.

Oh my god, there's a KL8!! But it's not obvious because it's the same as kl4, BUT WITHOUT THE STRIPES. I will be including these in the next patch, should one arise.

Guess I should probably finish up those Mario Mix BGs, since that's the last thing I remember doing..

Also wow Furanki that's super rad for you to bring some new BGs to the table. Does the method you use work for the newer Ultramixes as well, since I'd totally start scripting those songs if I could get the vids/learn how to extract them myself.

(Also started working on getting this while I was away.. dunno if I'll ever finish her or do more tho...)

EDIT: uhh.. nvm I guess. Just found Ultramix 2 scripts on YouTube. o_o (I'd still do the other mixes tho)

Also yes, it works for every Ultramix/Unleashed. I just need to get my hands on the original files (working on Xbox DVDs is kinda tricky).
That's a great pack, btw. The only bad thing is that lousy transition between movies, but you can't really do much on StepMania.

Alright, I apologize for waking a thread that's been asleep for a while, but I recently incorporated Beware's Extreme BG videos and scripts into all the DDR Extreme songs on my machine. However, that just got me hooked on getting as many of the older mix's BG videos working as I can and I went googling for answers.

There's a lot of information in this thread, but much of it is really old. I was hoping that someone out there has a collection that is ready-to-go that would have the BG videos, and simfiles ready to drop onto a machine. This way it would save me a lot, because after reading this thread, it sounds like the process required is to:

1) Get the correct BG Videos packs
2) Find the BG scripts for individual songs
3) Copy/Paste those scripts into existing SM files as desired
4) Test and make sure they work correctly

I'm sure someone out there has already gone through the efforts of doing this to as many songs as they could find and if they would've mind sharing their collection, it would make implementing this on my machine a LOT easier.

So, there it is. If anyone has a collection of simfiles with the BG scripts incorporated + the BG videos to go with it, I would be extremely grateful.

Okay, here's a question for everyone.

I have all the DDR videos saved to the folder RandomMovies. I have the songs (w/ BG scripts) saved in the Songs folder. Everything works great, but there's a side-effect to this that I don't like; Now ALL the songs on my machine will play random videos from that folder, even non-DDR charts. It's kind of weird playing Pistolero and seeing the Gradius ship from Burning Heat in the background. Is there a good solution to this issue?

I think the easiest solution (though I don't like it) would be to write a script that reads each song's BGScript info and changes the location of the movie's path from RandomMovies to Song Movie and have the script copy the respective random videos needed into the song's folder. I don't like this option, because it will result in LOTS of duplicates of certain movies in multiple song folders. But hard drive space is relatively cheap and plentiful, so perhaps that will work?

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can get these scripted BG's to work for Max, Max 2, Extreme, etc....but NOT play for all the other songs I have on my machine?
