[360, PS3 and 3DS] Sonic Generations

Just curious to see if anyone is planning on buying this game.

I know I can't wait!

I'm dissapointed in the zones, but it still looks fun as hell.

Probably more of a rental than a purchase.

I couldn't agree more Tyma. It looks like a good game but its not worth buying to me till its way cheaper.

fuckin want this game. I missed out on colours because i don't want a wii or a ds that costs more than my xbox.

I pre-ordered this game. I'm quite a big Sonic fan and this game doesn't look like it will disappoint.

This game means more to me than Thanksgiving.

I'm going to wait and see the feedback the game gets before I decide whether I get it or not. There's like 5 other games coming out within the next 6 months that I really want as well.
I find it really strange (in an unusual way) that they're not developing the game on the Wii yet they are on the 3DS. If anything it's usually the other way around.

Yeah I know, I was just commenting how it was weird it was being released on a portable Nintendo console, but not on their home console.
The general rule of thumb I've seen is if it spans across multiple systems and is on a portable console as well, it's will most likely also be on the home console of that company.

I'd take it that your going to import the game cause only EU and AU/NZ is getting the Collecters Edition. All we Americans are going to get is Casino Night Zone Pinball Table as DLC plus an unlockable Eggman Costume for Avatar.

Quite possibly the funnest Sonic game ever. About the only stumbling block for me was Crisis City (Act 2). What they did with Act 1 was pretty funny, though.

This game is quite fun. I'm almost done with world 1 but I need to complete the challenges. I'm also happy they brought back Sky Sanctuary zone, though I'd rather have Hydrocity Zone (my personal favorite from Sonic 3). Maybe they didn't add it because Chemical Plant already has a bit of water (or acid, if you will).

The HD version of game is ridiculous amounts of fun. Lots of different routes in each zone, something modern Sonic games have been in need of for a while. Only stupid thing in the whole game is the final boss.

3DS version doesn't look so good.

I agree, the final boss was kind of a letdown and they could have done way more with it. I managed to get every achievement in this game and it was actually pretty fun getting them all. As far as the stage choice goes, I honestly have no idea why they didn't pick Ice Cap Zone since it's one of the most loved stages in Sonic's history and that goes for its music as well. Sad thing is, the way the levels are grouped, you can kind of see how far the games fell the further down the line you went, it's scary. I haven't played the 3DS version but I've seen gameplay and it doesn't look as appealing as the 360 version.

I'm crossing my fingers for Ice Cap as DLC.

And Hydrocity (which has quite a chance, considering it's in the featured BGMs you can unlock!). That was my favorite S3 zone, and Lava Reef would be kickass, too.

Wouldn't it be a trip if they actually themed a level off of Sonic Spinball's Toxic Caves? (Bad game, great music.)

I wish one of the handheld titles got a full level, like Music Plant or Coral Cave.

That would be amazing although I'm kind of skeptical about Ice Cap even being a choice. As much as I'd love to have that stage in there, its music isn't even featured in the music unlocks but who knows.

If there is even any DLC, I'd like to see how they are going to tie that in to the game's story. I would say a Sonic Generations 2 would be in order but I don't know much they can milk the time travel idea before it gets stale and people start complaining.

(I'll level with you, didn't get too into Adventure or newer titles. I'm sure another level from Colors would be wicked too. Starlight Carnival or Asteroid Coaster, maybe?)
