So um... hhhhow does one unlock songs on this game in general, or find info on events? I can't understand the bemaniwiki page, Google translate and all. ; Tried to get TADA YOSHI on a trip and couldn't get it myself but I played it off of other people's unlocks. Whoohoo.

From what I can gather, you need to AAA songs in the CHALLENGE category to unlock songs.

CHALLENGE 11 song is I'm so Happy - Ryu☆

There are several different unlock schemes in play. TL;DR, there's almost nothing you can unlock on a random trip to Asia that wasn't planned specifically around DanceEvolution ARCADE.

1. CHALLENGE - you must change the sort folder on the song select screen! Rank AAA on about a dozen pre-selected songs, two of which are the song you are trying to unlock permanently. Tomorrow, we'll be on #15 but there would only 14 challenge unlocks (RIP Kind Lady). Made available during an arbitrary timeframe of Konami's choosing - dates here

2. gauge - keep playing anything to unlock the song permanently. (Unfortunately, TA・DA ☆ YO・SHI is here, along with アルストロメリア(walk with you remix), as two "generally unobtainable" unlocks.) Only active during an arbitrary timeframe of Konami's choosing - dates here

3. Premium Mode play - play the song in Premium Mode (as opposed to Normal Mode). e.g., play Mermaid girl in Premium Mode, and it'll be unlocked in Normal Mode.

So, between the CHALLENGEs and gauge unlocks, there are 16 "generally unobtainable" songs as of tomorrow if you haven't been playing regularly for the past couple years.
