This will probably have some really unique gameplay because I really don't see how playing on the Vita's (way) smaller screen will be true to the "traditional" playing style. Even DDR S at least makes it more or less DDR despite the smaller screen and lack of dance pad. Still, I think the iPad would have been a better CS choice. Either way if I get a Vita I'll probably pick this up because I do love me some TECHNIKA.

I wouldn't be surprised if they used the rear touchpad as some power up feature kinda like Fever Mode.

Yeah, I don't know a lot about TECHNIKA, but it really seems like the iPad would be able to replicate the arcade experience more than the Vita would. Then again, maybe they are going for a whole new play style from the arcade.

I think it will be what DJMax Portable was to the DJ MAX line, going from specialized controller to PSP, with some sort of touchscreen/pad and controller use.

I'm more excited about this than any other music game right now. DJMAX has been serving me well when the rest of BEMANI has been DEAD for the consumer of software. Plus the musicians who make music for DJMAX are far better than what the DDR team has been making. I saw that list of songs in that DDRII game, YUCK! I don't know what you guys get excited for Justin Beiber. UGH!
Will not change sig till pop'n 17, IIDX 17, and GF/DM XG get CS versions.

Then you haven't seen DDR 2010. You know, the one with Love Shack, We Are Family and a shitload more undanceable songs. Beiber is shit and that will never change, but again, that license list could be a LOT worse.

And I'm guessing you haven't seen the X2 crossovers, which doesn't make sense to me considering they're dead-center on the front page.

To actually be on topic, I really don't see how you can work Technika onto the Vita. Although that's probably because I don't know much about the Vita to begin with and just think it's basically a PSP 2.

It has both a multi-touch screen and a touchpad.

I don't go here everyday but god damn that's a nice list. Too bad the only way I can AA them is with a classic controller because RDA on a soft pad which is the official Konami-sanctioned controller is a stupid idea. They better start manufacturing some higher quality pads if the difficulty is going up. It's really also nice that Konami is working hard on this one, but I don't forget and they've done more bad than good for the US market which is what drew me away from buying US games and buying imports full time. If you guys really think my sig is stupid, I ought to change it. DDRII is looking good for the KOs but that still has not brought in SIRIUS home and really, I've lost hope on Konami. Didn't one of them said something that meant to me somewhere along the lines as it's just financially irresponsible to bring IIDX home on a new platform because of the costs of producing a brand new controller and general low interest from the public? I blame people in Japan for that, BUY MORE IIDX GAMES PLS!!! Own them all already, buy them again!

On topic, I'm a bit concerned about several things. Yes the real estate on the Vita seems not big enough for Technika. Also the games in general are the easiest DJMAX games out there. Hope they'll add a classic 4/6 button mode just for kicks.

Will not change sig till pop'n 17, IIDX 17, and GF/DM XG get CS versions.

If you want to complain that something is dead, you should at least try to keep up to date and know what you're talking about.

For example, if I complain that arcade dancing games in America have reached a state near death, it's because I know that modern (last 1-2 years) machines in America are awful...

But to state that "BEMANI" is dead because there aren't arcade machines in your country? When there is a new pop'n portable coming out, when there is jubeat plus (and friggin jukebeat even), when REFLEC BEAT iOS has been announced, and when the next DDR CS game is a mix of DDR X2 and DDR X3? You're approaching the area of "not a shred of truth here at all", and need to learn how language works. (If you just said GFDM CS is dead, then I'd buy it.)

As for TECHNIKVA Vita, it's already been stated that it will utilize Vita (a.k.a. touch sensing on both the front and back), and is not going to be a straight gameplay port. And I'd like to see you break the Top 50 of Pop Master if you think Technika (2) is "easy".

I guess you're right yindesu, I'm just very bitter that the traditional BEMANI games that I used to buy all the time are in hiatus. I'm not too interested on pop'n on a PSP anymore because all I can do is up to 5H and how unnatural playing 7 or 9 key is on a PSP set up, I can't find a set up that works for me at all. jubeat and REFLEC BEAT don't interest me as much as my main jams are IIDX and pop'n, but I'm willing to give them a try. I only have a iPhone and don't really see the need to get an iPad just for these two, does jubeat work decent on an iPhone??? I'm very sorry to cause such trolling, I didn't intend it to annoy you guys.

Anyways, I know that Technika 1 is mostly Metro Project material and we already have these songs on either the PSP/Trilogy. Will this game be based on say 2 with a dash of 3???

It seems a bit jarring that you seem to be demanding Konami develop and release CS games which are obviously never going to make money. They've stated outright that the only platforms where they can afford to release Bemani CS games are on the Wii, 3DS, Vita and iPad.

At the moment, they're ploughing their resources into expanding the Konami franchise, and focusing on producing CS games which are popular and sustainable. They are however, completely fine with people using Stepmania / Lunatic Rave / Feeling Pomu to fill in the gaps.

Well maybe not everybody is fine with using simulators. I'm not insulting people who use them but I just don't do them. I already said sorry but I guess once an asshole, always an asshole with you people. Go ahead and bring down my points, I don't care.

I don't know that they're completely fine with it, but they know of many sites that host simfiles/emulators and have really done nothing about it. It's really kind of marketing in a way. My friend used to play DDR very rarely, maybe once or twice a year, and when he did, he would just choose the same three songs on basic and get off the machine. I showed him Stepmania and he immediately had me install it on his computer. Now he wants to go to the arcade all the time and play DDR and is more varied in his selection (he seems pretty fond of the X2 license list).
