lol, this thread.
There is no need for .gifs or name calling.
As for the pack, I really don't care for bn/bgs.
Why can't we go iidx mode and forget about them?

The only problem with having no bn/bg is that SM3.9 doesn't show the song name on ScreenEvaluation (it's possible apparently, but I dunno the metrics). OITG does on the home theme and SM5/SM4 do afaik. Otherwise I couldn't agree more, stepchart quality > graphic quality.

Since mostly all of the feedback on the charts has been from hellrazor, I'll address that. You are certainly entitled to your own opinion/preferences about what type of simfiles you want to play- that's the awesome thing about stepmania and itg- but your extreme dislike for this pack seems to come from the fact that it's not the sort of thing you enjoy playing. Keep in mind that other people have different preferences as well.
So let's start with this:
By "itg style" I believe what Ali meant, and what would have been a very accurate statement, is that this is the sort of pack that hardcore itg players tend to make/play these days. Granted that being my first batch of simfiles ever it isn't very good, but that's the mindset behind it. It isn't supposed to be anything like itg officials at all.
Which brings me on to this:
As for the major complaints about graphics, the simfiles are about the charts. Since most people are going to be playing these on r21 anyway graphics aren't a huge deal. I probably wouldn't have done any at all except that Ali happens to be a good friend of mine. He's good at graphic design and agreed to do the graphics. I can understand your appreciation for high quality packs that focus more on graphics, but this pack was more about my attempt to make charts. and Btw generic group bgs/banners is a very common practice.
The bpm changes are there purely for visual affect obviously. I should have used a displaybpm but I didn't think to because again, this pack is more about the charts. It's not that hard for individuals to change that for themselves so I don't think it's a big deal.
The chart followed the guitar because it's a guitar cover. The guitar is the dominant part of the music, and the difference between this song and just stepping caramelldansen.

Downloaded it and I fail to see how this is "ITG style".
I downloaded this pack because of the "ITG style" claim, I deleted it because of the "bemanistyle shovel-file style" actuality.

all songs are missing almost all singles charts and all the doubles charts.
I was really surprised by this. Again, it goes back to different play preferences, but I don't know why some who plays on expert would make charts for other difficulties generally? Most packs that come out these days (of the type of files I like to play) include nothing but single expert charts. I made the kind of charts I wanted to play, for other people who play those sort of charts. And I don't play doubles, so I wouldn't make doubles charts. I wasn't trying to make a full fledged game here, just some charts for people to enjoy. As for the major complaints about graphics, the simfiles are about the charts. Step charts are amateurish
Probably because I'm an amateur lol. This is a collection of my first charts.Quote: hellrazor
(WTF hands in Renai Circulation and 30-240BPM??).
Yes the hands are kind of crazy. That part of the song doesn't have a lot going on so I went for an experemental, challening way to make it interesting. Maybe it was a bad idea, but that's why I'm asking for feedback on the pack. I'd be interested to hear what other people think of that part as well. The bpm changes are there purely for visual affect obviously. I should have used a displaybpm but I didn't think to because again, this pack is more about the charts. Carameldansen was both overdone and underdone at the same time, the nonsense 16th streams that went to nothing followed by the barren chart that followed the guitar
The "nonsense" 16th streams are there because they match the music. I'm not sure what you mean by "go to nothing."The chart followed the guitar because it's a guitar cover. The guitar is the dominant part of the music, and the difference between this song and just stepping caramelldansen.

all the repetitive jump hold streams = the worst Carameldansen chart I've ever played.
Yes, they are a bit repetitive. Making things like that more varied is something I'll look at in the future. Quote: hellrazor
To many songs are LONG and BORING, and Giga Pudding is a poor song choice IMO.
I guess song length is part of personal preference as well. As for giga pudding, it's kind of a joke, the chart doesn't go with the music very strictly I know. I mostly just wanted a chart for that because I liked the giga pudding commercial. It's there for poeple who want to play that sort of thing but it's also kind of a joke. You are not a mod nor will you ever be and I already sorted this out, so I really don't need your help, thanks.

Sorry I didn't provide more detail, I didn't expect you to read my post, but since you did...I did commend that you did a good job for your first simfile pack and that I believe you'll improve rapidly, making charts like these takes alot of work, it's easiest to start with basic charts and move up. I've never been that good at step-placing to music because I get bored of doing it, after I sync a song I would rather go to the next one than place steps, but even I've gotten better over time and I know my graphics are sub-par but I've gotten better at that over time as well, I prefer full step charts because I have young children and a wife who don't play expert difficulties, and I do enjoy ITG style doubles charts alot but these take much more effort than singles (I know I can't create them but I appreciate those who can and do). In the end alot of my comments are due to my desires and my play-style, I like old fashioned ITG charts with little experimentation (I'd love to see someone actually do those ridiculous four arrow spin holds with hands and feet) but everyone has their own preferences and play-styles, this didn't appeal to me but this isn't really about me, it's about you. If you enjoy your own songs and stepfiles then you have pleased the most important person and thank you for sharing your work (don't let me discourage you, I've never spoken for the majority of players anyways). You did all the most important things for a first-timer, like getting the BPM right and making all the steps on-beat, throw in some experimentation and intricate rhythms and you've done very well.
As for Carameldansen, perhaps my bias is because I've really enjoyed simfiles for this song even hard ones, and you know how if you play a certain simfile over and over you just think these steps go to the music well, then if you play something completely different it seems like the steps don't match because your used to the previous stepfile. Well that probably caused my bias, sometimes I get grumpy like that, I even really enjoy some of the Mungyodance simfiles but even then I ended up deleting 80% of the simfiles for different reasons, I'm picky and I like finding new simfiles that I enjoy so I end up downloading packs here and there looking for new gems to add to my collection
tl;dr: hataz gonna hate but I'll try to be nicer about it, you did very well for a first pack.

Haha ty. You did have some legitimate criticisms in there, which I appreciate, and it really does come down to what individuals enjoy.
Btw my intention with renai circulation is for the hands to be cheated and done only with feet. Of course people can play any chart the way they want/are best capable/most enjoy but that's the way I play it and what I had in mind when making it.
