Downloaded it and I fail to see how this is "ITG style".

Some songs are missing graphics, all songs are missing almost all singles charts and all the doubles charts. Step charts are amateurish (WTF hands in Renai Circulation and 30-240BPM??). Carameldansen was both overdone and underdone at the same time, the nonsense 16th streams that went to nothing followed by the barren chart that followed the guitar and all the repetitive jump hold streams = the worst Carameldansen chart I've ever played. To many songs are LONG and BORING, and Giga Pudding is a poor song choice IMO.

I downloaded this pack because of the "ITG style" claim, I deleted it because of the "bemanistyle shovel-file style" actuality.

lol dude this kind of packs just have expert single charts. You are not really expecting a full game, maybe I should have specified this was like a keyboard pack, but you can't call this a keyboard pack, because it's paddable, so the term "ITG" referring to stepcharts was more accurate, just like the simfiles from itgfreak for example. Well, it seems you expected something more like a DDR pack. You see hands in ITG, I believe, and the fast part in Renai Circulation fits with the music (scratch speed up). I found the pack in general good, I'd fix a couple of things too but overall, charts are really good. And rofl, every song has a graphic. That's just my personal opinion according to stepcharts.

Every song has a banner, yes, but hellrazor probably refers as to how just a couple of songs have a non-generic background image.

Yeah, the intention was to create a generic background for all the songs, and I even used some images that already existed replacing the generic background in a couple of songs. Also, hellrazor can't criticize simfiles because of "missing" graphics.

Why can't I?
With this few amount of songs the only reason it's lacking complete step-charts and graphics etc is due to laziness. I prefer the simfiles I play to be higher quality. The speeds do match the song but there aren't any steps at those speeds, so a simple #DISPLAYBPM:120; would resolve that issue.
Next time a more detailed description would be nice, and no way in hell would these charts ever end up in an ITG release, there's alot more quality control, but if it's his first pack it's not terrible and everyone gets better over time.

It's called lack of time. There's anything wrong with a generic background, and the main and ONLY purpose of simfiles criticism is the stepchart. You can't judge a simfile by its graphics, that's irrelevant.

Why did he run out of time, did he have a deadline? Are these WIP files that he's seeking feedback on and will complete later?
Graphics are relevant, pretty much every simfile competition I've ever seen had a graphics category and ITG had some top notch graphics. Not only are graphics relevant but how they are used is relevant as well, like if a BG image fades into a BG video and at the end of the video fades back into another BG image, that's relevant. Even a CDTitle image is relevant, and so is a banner, and even the video itself is relevant. Lyrics as well, even FG images are all relevant to making the whole experience enjoyable, as simfile creators every part of the creation matters and even though I listed alot of extra features a unique BG image is (IMHO) a requirement in a quality simfile.

I wouldn't expect a noob to understand or appreciate it, but as you experience different things and understand that there's a little more to this game than stepping on arrows; plainly with experience comes appreciation, with appreciation comes desire, with desire comes experimentation, with experimentation comes skill, with skill comes success.

And NO I didn't mean for this to be a DDR simfile pack, I rather enjoy ITG simfiles but it takes a very VERY good simfile artist alot of time to create one (for instance ITG Rebirth 2 is 3 years in the making and is still lacking graphics, it won't be complete without graphics because they matter). And as far as time, I spent over 4 years working on my Achilles simfile and I decided not to include Beginner and Easy charts because of how long it took to create the other three, plus I ran out of creativity (I'm not that good at stepping songs), but I didn't release it until I was satisfied even though it took over 4 years...

Hellrazor, please shut up. This isn't the first time you've been a critic, you were also a critic when Monst3rjoe released his songpack too. These aren't Rebirth 2 entries, nor are these intended to be in an "ITG release" (which tend to be full of ambiguous/awkward steps anyway ) so lay the fuck off the haterade and go elsewhere. You annoy people with your preaching and homophobia, you give harsh criticisms to stepartists that don't even matter because you're being childish and want everything to be like ITG/DDR officials; hell I'm amazed no-one's banned you for your stupidity. On topic:

- Hands in Renai Circulation 2 are actually quite fun; they're based on charts like this
- I'm pretty sure CaramellDansen went to something, otherwise who cares? When fun* charts like ICWOWICF/Loituma/Mechanical Love exist, who cares if it follows the rhythm exactly? If it bothers you that fucking much go play r21freak stepcharts/officials and quit moaning!
- Giga Pudding is a joke chart. At least it's not like Dash Hopes.
- You're right on the usage of DisplayBPM though, the only problem is C-Mods would be allowed under Disqualification=1 and would thus ruin the gimmick he's added. #DISPLAYBPM:120:240; is one way of doing it. Unless of course he doesn't mind people using C-Mods.
- Will v4extreme read this thread? I dunno whether to give feedback here or on his video. Overall it's pretty good for his first time, though there are a few things he could improve, the aforementioned DisplayBPM issue being one of them.
