There should NOT be a 20 until we've firmly established a field of 19s, because right now, there are only three charts. Two of them are doubles, and one of them is a singles. The gap between VD Oni and some of the hardest 18s such as 888 Oni, Mei Oni, and the RDA 18 trio of Anti-Matter, New Decade, and Possession is too large. There needs to be more 19s to fill in that gap.

Personally, I want to see more charts from 13-footers to 16-footers. Sure, more 18s and 19s would be interesting but they wouldn't be much use to me since I'm not exactly anywhere near that skill level yet

Absolutely. Perfect the transitions from 13s to 14s, 14s to 15s, 15s to 16s, and so on...

Increasing the duration of the songs is the only way to make it hardest (19,20) without being too gimmick.

I've only been waiting for this for several years now. "DDR edits" need to be replaced with radio edits. Or make the DDR II Short/Long selection available on the arcade.

But I think it's been shown that long versions rarely get much play time since they take up 2 stages. Most players want 3 songs versus 1 long and 1 short.

How does that relate with charts being harder and such?

Anyway I don't see Long Versions get a lot of playtimes, they get stale quick.

Well ....don't exactly "long versions", Konami can up the songs lenght like idk maybe 25 seconds or something. The new ones now got a 1:40-45 standard.

Long versions are boring. Also, I have no problem when them pushing boundaries and making new 19s; those songs are decent bridges anyway since their earlier difficulties usually hit in the 13-17 range anyway, so what's the problem? They'll only be on , don't like it, don't play that chart. Valkyrie dimension is fun on . People seem to think they're forced to play charts just because they exist? I don't really understand, especially when the hardest songs have easier charts exactly of the difficulty everyone's complaining there isn't enough of.

Anyway, looking forward to the boss songs being unlocked for regular play, I expect some charts. We know we'll at least get London EVOLVED's extra chart.

^Yep. VD, Anti-Matter, POSSESSION, their charts are 14s/15s. The only problem I have with those is that they're on X2, and the only X2 I can play has kinda broken pads and sync issues xD Still, I've got Stepmania & a FutureMax foam pad so I can still play 'em.
Maybe Tohoku EVOLVED will be a 14?

The new KOs in this game are so perfect, I can't.

By the way, to anyone who has a physical copy, if they have lyrics in the booklet, can you please post Resurrection's?

Someone would want 20 footers for completion's sake since the foot rating is a scale of 1-20 but then again most charts that are higher than 16 footers get stupid and are less fun to play, at least IMO.
