So....you pretty much travel to that specific spot in Japan and if you play a DDR X3 machine there connected to e-amuse, it unlocks that Extra Stage for you to play no matter wherever you are at playing on an X3 machine?

KONMAI LOGIC

Basically it adds that prefecture to the list of prefectures you have played and EXTRA STAGE will take into account all the prefectures in that list.

For example: If you played in Kyoto and Tokyo, if you get EXTRA STAGE, you will get the EXTRA STAGEs that are unlocked for both Kyoto and Tokyo.

If that's the case, X3 would NOT have fit well worldwide for this event, unless you had the money to blow off on airline tickets JUST to unlock two songs that were outside of Japan.

Granted if somehow X3 was released alongside the US and Europe, they probably would have thought of something to make it easier for players outside their region of EVOLVED songs to get the songs somehow (having a RIVAL being from New York/London would unlock the song for you if you beat one of their scores, etc.)

It's not like other regions never get to play the songs, they just are less capable of getting more than one unlocked at a time. The songs still cycle the regions, so Asia players will get to play all of them.

No, that's not what it means. Kyoto and Tokyo were just example prefectures. Say you've played in Okinawa, Saitama, Chiba, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. For the sake of simplicity, let's say that on the day this example occurs, tokyoEVOLVED is unlocked in Chiba, osaka EVOLVED -毎度、おおきに!- is unlocked in Kanagawa, New York EVOLVED is unlocked in Tokushima, and London EVOLVED is unlocked in Saitama. If you get Extra Stage, you'll have both tokyoEVOLVED and London EVOLVED available for play.
nice.

....i don't think you guys are understanding what I meant with that quote up there (or I worded it wrong or I am not fully understanding this whole EXTRA TOUR EVENT a.k.a KONMAI LOGIC or some other third thing).

I understand that with the EXTRA TOUR event, the prefectures in Japan are big, so having the chance to play those two EVOLVED songs up there (for the example) is much greater IF X3 WAS NOT RELEASED IN AMERICA AND EUROPE. If X3 was a global e-amuse connected game (by some miracle), and by following the guideline that they out out, setting up the Extra Stage to be unlock for a specific region would really not make it as good as it seems to be at the moment(?), having to play and wait for the song to be unlocked fully in that region or if Konami implemented some way of unlocking that EVOLVED song on ES by means of having a RIVAL in the New York/London region or something. Also yes, overtime songs get unlocked because they do, players wouldn't want to have to wait for the song to only have them play songs on ES and EES and not have it unlocked for normal play eventually, but I honestly think this is a means for Konami to get players to travel throughout Japan in some pyramid-scheme style Konami travel agency.

If you are still not able to understand that, or if I messed up somewhere, you now realize how confusing this whole EXTRA TOUR has been, which goes straight back to my point of KONMAI LOGIC Neutral

Failing on the last step of Tohoku EVOLVED by trying to mash all four arrows:

It looks like he got an early Good.

The last step is 1L 1D on Mirror, or 2U 2R normally. Compare with the first Doubles pass which had 2L 2D normally. At least they don't seem to be making it diabolically evil by placing the last jump on the other pad. (yet...)

I wonder if either chart has a third version? We've only seen two of each so far.

If you watch the step zone of the first video, it looks like TAKASKE also tried to mash all 4 arrows, but he managed to get it that previous time.

At least once Tohoku Evolved is opened, it's always open, unlike Valkyrie dimension where a fail meant re-AA'ing six boss songs before getting to try again.

Hope we see the full Singles chart soon.

(It's still possible for us to see the chart if the player turns Freeze Off, which might make it easier to hit the last jump and look for potential evidence of a third version.)

You'll never get to Tohoku if you play the ES with WAVE.

@Arctic Wolves: Whoever was handling the camera was really smooth.

But then, it's back to J:A:A style, lol. Konami being lazy.

Same goes to the Total result screen.

It's only osaka EVOLVED.
The rest of the songs it's all remain the same way as J:A:A for example:

@Silverhawke: Weird, so getting an AA London Evolved with Wave on will not unlock EES? I wonder why.

Who would have ever figured it out?

there might be 3 "Versions" of tohoku evolved after all.

I cleared it again today and surprisingly my last jump was a Down Left (not turn mods). I didnt expected that and nearly broke combo but luckily got a very late great

I guess there's no reason why there wouldn't be an ending with a D R jump

Just some nitpicky questions about this game. In 2nd Mix mode, when you choose the step difficulty while choosing the song list difficulty (sorry if this sounds confusing; I'm referring to the part where you choose between easy, normal and hard at the start of 2nd mix mode), does this affect to all players? And how do you change the step difficulty in the song wheel? Just by pressing up or down twice? We can't tell from there but it is possible.

And as for eamuse accounts, IIRC, you can choose your own character but Dread and Janet can't be chosen and are only present in 2nd mix mode, right?

It's officially two weeks to the OST release. I wonder if they intend to keep the final three tracks a secret until then?
