"No."
Ah, I see. I get it now.

Well since we pretty much ran out of information we should probably start reusing some stuff(old stuff, not recent)

Text17 Has some Anime explicit stuff in it.
It was also included in the DDR X stage with some other backgrounds as well..

Oh and
PARANOiA KSKT has been removed on the 2014 Location test in America But still remains as an event in DDR 2014.

"five minute white boy challenge"
I don't see anything explicit in it. Sure, cleavage is visible, but that's hardly R18.

Approximately nobody asked for this song to be included. Least popular decision by the Japanese since Nintendo released the Wii U.

"TELOS"
Yeah that's not explicit. I always thought this background was interesting to look at.

I'm struggling to find it, but there's a song where you can see that image in color. It's Zero Suit Samus-esque, a.k.a. not that risque.

If you're referring to the cleavage girl, this is the closest thing I could find...

...oh. That's sort of a relief, to be honest. I was worried about recreating Film6 (and Text17) because of the ambiguity.

I'm theorizing that TAG is a huge fan of Einstein's Theory of Relativity. Relativity is all about how time can "dilate" as you go at really fast speeds so that the speed of light always remains constant.

For one, the song "Theory of Eternity" seems like an obvious reference to "Theory of Relativity." The DDR jacket is a triangle with roman numerals I to XII like a clock, and at the beginning of the song, you can hear a beat that resembles a clock going along with the piano, which all fits into the "time" aspect of relativity.

And second, the song title "ÆTHER" references the "aether," which in the late 19th century was the material believed to permeate all of space, serving as a medium that allowed light to travel through a vacuum. However, experiments towards the turn of the 20th century and Einstein's Theory of Relativity showed that the belief that there was this universal "aether" was wrong. You can see in the jacket for ÆTHER that there are relativistic equations written in the background (using variables like v for velocity, c for speed of light, etc) and that "PHYSICS" is written on the girl's sleeve.

So yeah, strategically, I would have had Panda at the bottom, or #pandasingle.

I love We Bare Bears! Does anyone know if the chart seen on the show is actually from a real song in DDR?

^

I doubt the show featured a song straight from the game, probably for fear of copyright and whatnot. Besides, the machine isn't even labeled as 'DDR', so it's clear that this is a parody or homage, rather than a straight inclusion like in other movies.

I know they actually did not play any actual DDR songs on the show (I saw the episode that scene was from), but I want to know if the chart, the arrow pattern, is from an actual DDR song.

All the jacks and the speed of the chart point to no. (Also the flow, but with the HP team that's not always a given)

I would say that's a chart from the failed DDR Classroom Edition XD

"i like memes"
Probably a lot of people already know this, but I'm going to say it just in case xD;;
The song "Beautiful Life" by Aria has a changing bpm from 90 to 134 (not sure if those are the exact values but they are close enough i think). The bpm changes in every beat, so that probably explains the offsync issues of the song.

Also, murmur twins, maximizer, and other songs had oni charts on ddr universe 3 (but again, a lot of people probably know this already ^^; but im leaving the videos just in case again xD;;)

English is not my first language, my apologies if my messages aren't clear !!!

Some items in the DDR Extreme movies are reused from other Bemani games.

Darts1.

Highway1/Highway2.

Dance11 and Light8.

Dj1's text, Tunnel12, Tunnel11, and Space1's background.

Tuxedo1 and Sirens1.

This one is obvious and has smoother versions of its videos in DDR.

Dance10's background. And it looks so much smoother.... mm.

Wind1.

More of Dance10.

Silhouette1.

I'm not sure whether or not I should make this into it's own thread since it's interesting to me, but might not be for anyone else, plus it's kind of a tl;dr, and lastly it's been touched upon before but not so much in depth. I'll let you guys decide if this should be it's own.

I'm here to talk about sorting, specifically some of the oddities that exist in some later games.

Sorting greatly varied throughout the games, from being restricted in certain scenarios to having all songs accessible. Extreme is the first game to have sorting by series, although it not only included DDR games, but also other BEMANI games as well. SuperNOVA 2 had a simpler system by having three folders: SuperNOVA 2, SuperNOVA, and Extreme. The name of the Extreme folder is a little misleading since it also included other games as well. X onward had folders for every major DDR release. The orders within these folders (with the exception of the main game folder) kept changing and became more complicated as more games were released. In X, the folders were in the usual alphabetical order with numbers up front and Japanese text using Romaji as a placement guide. In X2, Japanese text were given their own section at the ends of the folders; small change, nothing major, until. In X3, things got real complicated. Licenses were distinguished from Konami Originals (KO's) appearing at the beginning of folders which is understandable, but numbers got messed around with. Numbers based on numerical values (1998, 321STARS, etc) were at the beginnings of sections while numbers based on Japanese puns (.59, 888, etc) came after Japanese text (this leads to some ambiguity about a certain song I'll get to later). To make things MORE complicated, songs with names starting with special symbols were put near the ends of folders but at specific places. Love Love Sugar starts with a heart and is placed between Latin and Japanese script (between xenon and Calico Cat Rock) (this was already done when it was revived for X2). deltaMAX obviously starts with the Greek letter delta and is placed the same way Love Love Sugar is placed (this time between ZETA and Yellow Candy). shining starts with a star and comes at the very end after 888 (Japanese pun number). 2013 pretty much keeps the same convention of X3 except Love Love Sugar is now between 321STARS and A, and some of the Japanese text songs got rearranged. Now, as of DDR 2014, Japanese text is placed at the BEGINNING of sections as opposed to the END and ALL numbers are at the END of sections regardless of whether or not they're puns (traditionally, numbers have always been at the beginning, NOW they're at the end), all of this is while licenses are STILL distinguished. In addition, Love Love Sugar and shining are grouped based in their initial LETTERS (L and S) as opposed to their initial SYMBOL (heart and star respectively). As for deltaMAX, it's placed at the very end AFTER 888 as opposed to between Latin and Japanese script BEFORE 888. I'm not sure why Konami decided to do all this with the song orders. As I said, distinguishing licenses from KOs is understandable, but it was so much easier for every thing to be in alphabetical order with numbers at the beginning and Japanese script being intermixed with Latin script.

Again tl;dr but here are the "oddities" I was going to talk about:

In X, Let the beat hit em!(CLASSIC R&B STYLE) was placed in the 4thMIX folder as opposed to the MAX folder. This was either because it was an accident or because the original Let the beat hit em! was from 4thMIX and so Konami made the random assuption. The former is more likely since the latter would be inconsistent with Healing Vision and Orion.78.

With the advent of X3, licenses were distinguished from KOs, with this, some songs had "changed roles", by that I mean some songs went from being classified as licenses to being classified as KOs and vice versa.

Songs that went from being licenses to KOs: La Bamba (SuperNOVA), stealth, switch, Trust -DDR mix-, and Till the lonely's gone.

Vice Versa: La Bamba (Extreme/Mambo A Go Go) and Jupiter ~The Bringer of Jollity

The Ambiguous Song I Mentioned: 30 Lives (Up-Up-Down Dance Mix)

I have theories for why they decided to do this. For stealth and switch, according to remywiki, they were never really licenses and thus were arranged accordingly. For Trust, the anime Yoko is from, Gurren Lagann, is partially owned by Konami and thus they continue to use the song; plus, it's been a KO since SuperNOVA 2 CS PS2. For Till the lonely's gone, it was made specifically for the 2008 Broadjam contest and so maybe Konami managed to obtain the rights to the song. For Jupiter ~The Bringer of Jollity, my guess is that The Planets Suite is not public domain and is therefore copyrighted and they weren't able to use it for much longer (This might even be a similar reason for why End of the Century was removed). For the La Bambas, I have no idea, either it was a mistake that Konami has yet to fix or that whoever this "Mexican Folk Song" artist is holds most of the rights to the Extreme version whereas the SuperNOVA version was an in-house cover by Konami. The reason I placed 30 Lives as ambiguous is because of how folder sections are ordered in X3 and 2013: Numerical value numbers, Latin script, Japanese script, Japanese pun numbers. With this sort, you'd think 30 Lives would be first in the X folder licenses, but it wasn't, it was between Polyrhythm and A Geisha's Dream. This would mean one of two things, 1) It was a Japanese number pun license or 2) it was a numerical KO. The possible reason for it being a KO could be for the same reason Till the lonely's gone became a KO, it was made for the Broadjam contest. But when 2014 came out, all numbers were placed at the ends of folder sections and 30 Lives was at the end of the X folder's license section and the ambiguity went away. Since it's technically a dance mix of the pre-existing song, it would make much more sense for it to be a license as opposed to a KO.

tl;dr tl;dr tl;dr I've got too much time on my hands, being a high schooler who can't drive yet.

What do you guys think? Did I overlook something? Should this be it's own thread? To respond or not is your choice. Thank you and have a nice day or night.
