Interesting Little Things in DDR

The only thing worse than The Whistle Song's music video is Little Boy (Boy On Boy Mix)'s music video.

Wait, it isn't? I cannot hear the lyrics right so yeah. I've seen the music video and I can agree that it isn't that suitable for a game intended for general public.

Back on topic, here's some more trivia.

-The jackets for 'ever snow' and 'Sacred Oath' by TERRA were edited in DDR 2013 because the originals featured pictures of NAOKI and Jun in real life. As most of you know, those two left to join Capcom.

-The US version of DDRMAX has more songs than the Arcade version. Not really trivia, but it is kind of funny.

-Senorita Speedy Mix is the only song that debuted in EXTREME that didn't make it into the Japanese Console Version.

-When the English version of EXTREME was released, many people discovered that MEMORIES was inside the data for the game, though there was no way to legitimately play it. The song would later become playable because the unlock code was featured in a Burger King promotion.

-Sexy Planet debuted in 'DDR featuring True Kiss Destination' before it made it to DDR Solo.

-In DDR Extreme 2, the 'Marvelous' score does not add any points to your total, meaning that you'll get a perfect score on a song just by getting a AAA, regardless of how many Marvelous you got.

-DDR STRIKE has no returning songs; only new songs and remixes of old songs.

Alot of the trivia above is well known but still cool regardless...


Strike technically did have returning songs, but it's from EX2, and DS Max.

Many patterns in some of the background movies are recycled.

Wrong, "bitch" was changed to "baby" in all instances.

Actually, the clean version was already used for the Japanese version of DDR MAX 2 (or at least on the console release).

Same for arcades too

They were all made or remixed by Naoki under the NMR alias in same game and they were step battle songs. So its not laziness.

This needs to be cleared up:

-The original version of The Whistle Song by DJ Aligator included profanity in the song. This version is often called the 'Dirty' mix.

-He then later made a music video for the song which had replaced the profane lyrics. This version is called the 'Clean' mix.

-The version in DDRMAX2 in Arcades is the 'Clean' version, but the subtitle still includes the profanity.

-Nothing about the song was changed when it made it to the US Console version, except for the title being renamed. So, this version is just the 'clean' mix on its own.

Everything cleared up now? Good. Let's stop talking about this song. It's making me feel filthy.

Colors (Midihead Remix), from DDR Ultramix 3, and Timepiece phase II, from GuitarFreaks 10th and Drummania 9th, were planned for DDR SuperNova.

Any suggestions as to accomplish this?

You might be able to hack it into the game with Action Replay or some other device, but since I don't own the game or any cheating devices, I wouldn't know. Otherwise, it'll probably just take lots of practice.

Or you could just shell out money for a copy of Extreme 2, which is way better.

Is there a specific song or chart you have to MFC?

If I recall correctly, it's like this:

-Moment 40 is gotten from MFC-ing any song on Beginner.
-Exotic Ethnic is gotten from MFC-ing any song on Basic (Light).
-Sakura is gotten from MFC-ing any song on Difficult (Standard).

I'm very curious about DDR Disney Channel Edition. Is it possible to rip the graphics? (banners, menus, etc.). I'm wondering since I've never seen perfect-quality images of these banners.

At least you can play as Cory in Disney Channel Edition. Makes the overall experience.... Complete.
